Since the NextGen car debuted at the start of the 2022 season, Chris Buescher has been one of the best at road courses. In the nine races ran on this track type over that span, Buescher has finished inside the top-10 in eight of them, with top-five finishes at both Sonoma races over the two years. In last year's race here at the Indianapolis Road Course, Buescher had his race car start on fire but still rallied for a 10th-place finish when it was all said and done. This weekend, Buescher qualified in 17th-place for Sunday's big race. While he didn't have top-10 speed on Saturday, it seems to be a safe bet that Buescher can get there by the time the checkered flag waves on Sunday.--Jordan McAbee
