Aric Almirola was not expected to lead the Stewart-Haas Racing team in qualifying and yet that happened. Almirola starts the FireKeepers Casino 400 from the 18th spot on Sunday. He did last year as well but an accident ended his day early as Almirola finished 34th. The Ford driver has never ended up in the top five after 200 laps at Michigan International Speedway. The expectation is Almirola may not have much in the way of positive place differential. The last time he had that was 2017 with a +12 place differential. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
