Carlos Carrasco Scratched From Thursday's Start

New York Mets starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco will not pitch on Thursday as scheduled. Carrasco was supposed to start a minor league game for the Mets but will receive some elbow maintenance instead. Manager Buck Showalter said the starter receives the maintenance periodically and will make a minor league start Tuesday instead. Carrasco is more of an NL-only or deeper league-type starter at this point in his career, but he could be helpful in those leagues. The veteran right-hander posted a 15-7 record with a 3.97 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and 152 strikeouts over 152 innings in 2022.
