Fantasy Basketball Mid-Week Streamers: Week 15

NBA fantasy baseball streamers waiver wire pickups

Thunder Dan Palyo looks at some mid-week waiver wire options for fantasy basketball leagues. These players may be free agents to target on waivers in Week 15.

It's an unconventional finish to the week in Week 15 of the NBA schedule. It's nice having 6 games tonight on a Thursday, but then we have a very odd flip tomorrow with only five games on a Friday and then 11 on Saturday. Sunday then wraps up the week with only four games.

Most leagues limit how many players you can stream each week in daily leagues. If your league only allows three moves per week, you need to be very efficient with your moves and grab players who will help you maximize your games played and help you win an extra category or two of counting stats.

The goal of this article each Thursday morning will be to help you plan out your roster moves for the remainder of the week. By this point of the week, you should start to get an idea of what categories you may need help with and where your weekly opponent is the strongest and weakest (in H2H formats). If you're playing roto, you don't have to gameplan quite as much, but you'll still want to maximize the stats your team can accumulate during the week. All the rostered percentages used in this article are from Yahoo.

Weekly Schedule: Thursday to Sunday

Shallow League Streaming Options

Caris LeVert - SG/SF (49%)

LeVert was dropped in a lot of leagues as soon as Donovan Mitchell returned to the lineup. However, Mitchell is questionable tonight and the Cavs play three games in the next four nights. It's very possible that Mitchell sits out at least one of the next two games of the back-to-back or that he misses a few more games with a nagging injury and we get some prime opponents for Cleveland in Houston and OKC, too.

Rui Hachimura - SF/PF (41%)

Hach made his Laker debut last night, playing 22 minutes off the bench, and posted 12 points, 6 boards, with a steal, assist, and three. With Anthony Davis back, too, his upside is capped but he's likely going to keep playing 20-25 minutes and posting some efficient numbers. You could do worse than him on the wire and we are still going to see LeBron and AD rest here and there on back-to-backs in the second half, too.

Jeremy Sochan - PF (35%)

Sochan has been on and off teams all season long, but his recent stretch of production has been impressive and he seems to be one Spurs player who we might be able to count on down the stretch. Take a quick glance at his game log, he's giving you around 16-6-2.5 over the last two weeks with some threes and steals on solid percentages (other than his horrid FT%).

Seth Curry - PG/SG (33%)

Curry had himself a revenge game last night against the Sixers as he hit seven treys and dropped 32 on his former team in a tough loss. He's going to continue to be streaky and inconsistent, but it's clear that his minutes and usage are secure while KD is out.

Delon Wright - PG (30%)

Wright is a short-term add while Monte Morris is banged up, but he started last night in his stead and had another 3-steal game. He's a bit of a specialist at this point as he doesn't score much, but he can be an asset in assists and especially steals, where he's among the best in the league on a per-minute basis.

Deni Avdija - SF/PF (28%)

My guy Deni is back on the radar in standard leagues and I picked him in just about every league that I am in as soon as the Rui Hachimura trade went down. The injury to Porzingis increases his short-term appeal, too, as he's played 30+ minutes in two straight games and posted a double-double in each one.

Deep Leagues Streaming Options

Xavier Tillman - PF/C (16%)

It was Brandon Clarke who started and smashed the box score last night against the Warriors, but Tillman played 30 minutes the other night against the Kings and Memphis has been known to go with a committee approach with their big men. With Minnesota and Indiana on the schedule to close out the week, give Tillman a look those are good matchups for bigs.

Jose Alvarado - PG (14%)

Yes, Brandon Ingram is back in the lineup, but the Pelicans just lost Dyson Daniels for a while and he's the guy who is in direct competition for backup guard minutes behind CJ McCollum. Alvarado is limited offensively but is a nice source of assists and steals and a major piece of this Pelicans' rotation going forward.

Chris Duarte - SG/SF (10%)

The Pacers are a bit of a mess lately, winning just one game since Haliburton got hurt. But all the injuries to their backcourt have opened up a bunch of minutes for Duarte, who has played 26 and 39 minutes in their last two games. He had a full stat line against Orlando last night, posting 16-2-5 with 6 steals, and should continue to see a lot of run in the short term.

Dario Saric - PF/C (8%)

Super Dario has new life again as Deandre Ayton can't seem to stay healthy and on the court. Ayton is probable to return tonight, but it's possible that Saric has been productive enough to earn a role off the bench with the second unit as he's been easily the best fantasy asset of the Phoenix backup big men between him, Bismack Biyombo, and Jock Landale.
