Coming off a fall swing that saw Emiliano Grillo make all six of his cuts, and record two top-five finishes, he starts 2023 in Hawaii. The encouraging results in the fall make Grillo an interesting option this week, as he has no prior success at the Sony Open. Grillo has made five of six cuts at Waialae, but hasn't recorded a finish inside the top-20. Even with that said, the reason to buy that this season could be different is the putting. Grillo has never been a top of the tour putter, but is currently gaining strokes on the green, and 81st on tour in strokes gained putting. For reference, Grillo has only finished the season inside the top-100 in strokes gained putting once in his PGA Tour career. Although the hot streak on the greens may not be long term, it's worth taking a flyer on this week. --Kasey Kuhrts - RotoBaller
