The New Orleans Pelicans selected Australian guard Dyson Daniels eighth overall in the 2022 NBA draft. Daniels is known for his defensive prowess and he also has some promising tools on the offensive end. He stands 6'6" with a wingspan just short of 6'11" and he has quick feet, allowing him to guard 1-through-4. He spent the 2021-22 season with the G-League Ignite and he averaged 11.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game while shooting 44.9% from the field. The Pelicans' roster is a bit crowded right now, so Daniels may struggle to break into the rotation as a rookie, but his long-term upside is certainly appealing.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
