Jacksonville Jaguars center Brandon Linder announced his retirement from football on Monday. The Jaguars selected Linder in the third round of the 2014 draft out of Miami, and he played all eight of his NFL seasons in Jacksonville. He had one year left on his contract and was likely going to be cut this spring. His retirement saves the team $10 million against the 2022 salary cap. Linder has struggled to stay healthy and missed 41 games in his career, including 15 in the last two seasons. The Jaguars signed backup center Tyler Shatley to a two-year, $4.8 million extension earlier this month, which signaled that Linder wouldn't be back with the team in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
