The Cincinnati Bengals released cornerback Trae Waynes on Monday. Waynes signed a three-year deal with the Bengals back in 2020, but he has been limited to five games the last two seasons due to pectoral and hamstring injuries. The 29-year-old was originally a first-round pick (11th overall) by the Minnesota Vikings in 2015 out of Michigan State. Waynes had just 12 tackles (11 solo) and one pass defensed in four starts in 2021 with Cincinnati. In his six-year NFL career, Waynes has recorded seven interceptions, one sack and 259 tackles (226 solo) over 79 games (57 starts). Assuming he's healthy, the veteran defensive back should latch on with another team.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
