Kevin Pillar (OF, TOR) - 2016 Fantasy Baseball Sleepers

BALLER MOVE: Target ~180

CURRENT ADP: 195.7

ANALYSIS: Between the blazing speed and the sensational grabs, Kevin Pillar has begun to make a name for himself with the Blue Jays. After Michael Saunders went down with a torn meniscus before the 2015 season even started, Pillar found himself with a lot more responsibility. In 159 games, he hit .278 with 12 home runs and 56 RBI to go along with 25 stolen bases and a .314 on-base percentage.

With the departure of Ben Revere, Pillar is an excellent candidate for the leadoff spot in Toronto. Josh Donaldson, Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion and Troy Tulowitzki would follow Pillar, in some order, providing the 27-year-old outfielder with a ton of run-scoring opportunities. Even if Pillar remains in the middle of the order, his ability to get on base will help him score runs in bunches with a player like Chris Colabello -- .321 AVG, 15 HR in 2015 -- behind him.

Another good season should put Pillar completely on the map. He is not yet a household name, so we can expect a lot of outfielders to come off the board before him. Don’t be afraid to take the leap and grab Pillar as an OF3 or maybe even a utility role.
