Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 7:
Drake Maye, QB, New England Patriots
New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye completed 18 of his 26 pass attempts for 261 yards, three passing touchdowns, and zero interceptions during Sunday's Week 6 win over the New Orleans Saints. He took just one sack and was the Patriots' leading rusher with an additional 28 yards on the ground.
Maye has taken a major leap during his second pro season, ranking as a fringe top-five fantasy quarterback so far. He has scored three total touchdowns in half of his games this season, making him an impactful player for both the Patriots and his fantasy managers.
His impressive accuracy, improved decision-making, and dual-threat ability are among the factors that make Maye one of the most impressive and fastest-rising quarterbacks in fantasy football. He'll remain a mid-range QB1 option heading into a favorable Week 7 matchup against the Tennessee Titans.
Patrick Mahomes, QB, Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed 22 of his 30 pass attempts for 257 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions during Sunday night's win over the Detroit Lions. He also rushed for an additional 32 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.
The veteran quarterback had a very productive evening in terms of moving the football and scoring points, now tallying 10 total touchdowns and just one turnover over his last three games.
Most importantly, the 30-year-old seems to have found a nice rhythm under center, scoring at least 29 fantasy points in each of those three contests. He'll remain a high-end QB1 for Week 7 against the Raiders.
Baker Mayfield, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield led his team to its fifth win of the season in Week 6, beating the San Francisco 49ers 30-19. Mayfield completed 17 of his 23 pass attempts for 256 yards and two touchdowns without throwing an interception and added 14 rushing yards on three carries.
The 30-year-old has now thrown for 1,309 yards and 12 touchdowns in his first six games of 2025. Tampa Bay entered Week 6 without wide receivers Mike Evans (hamstring), Chris Godwin (leg), and Jalen McMillan (neck), and then lost star rookie wideout Emeka Egbuka (hamstring) to a hamstring injury during the game.
It's currently unclear how long the Buccaneers will be without their top four wide receivers. Regardless, Mayfield has proven himself to be a worthy fantasy QB1 on a week-to-week basis.
Jared Goff, QB, Detroit Lions
Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff posted a solid but unspectacular line in his team's 30-17 Week 6 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, completing 23 of 29 pass attempts for 203 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions.
The 31-year-old is having a highly efficient season so far, leading the NFL in completion percentage (75.9%) and touchdown passes (14) while averaging exactly eight yards per pass attempt. Goff could be a candidate to rejoin the ranks of must-start fantasy quarterbacks in single-QB formats in Week 7.
The Lions will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who rank 24th in the NFL in passing yards allowed (1,520) through six weeks.
