Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 15:
Brenton Strange, TE, Jacksonville Jaguars
Fantasy managers may quibble with the Penn State product's meager output. However, he's been decently involved all year, quietly ranking third on the team in receiving yards (369) despite missing five complete games.
The Jaguars' pass attack features a few too many mouths to feed, but only WR Jakobi Meyers appears to be separating from the rest of the pack. Fantasy managers with tight end trouble can look to the 24-year-old as a strong option at the position, especially if teammate Parker Washington (hip) is inactive for a second straight game.
Darren Waller, TE, Miami Dolphins
It was a disappointing showing for Waller, who returned from a pec injury in Week 13 with two catches for 47 yards against the Saints. He will remain a boom-or-bust fringe starter at tight end since he does get attention in the Dolphins' passing game.
For now, Tua Tagovailoa is managing the low-volume passing offense, with a focus on short passes and most of the downfield opportunities going to Jaylen Waddle.
Kyle Pitts, TE, Atlanta Falcons
Unfortunately, the endzone has still eluded him, as his Week 4 touchdown against the Commanders still stands as his lone score on the year.
Heading into the fantasy playoffs, Pitts provides a reliable floor, having now hit at least six receptions and 80 yards in back-to-back games. He is RotoBaller's TE4 in a Week 15 road matchup against the Buccaneers.
Evan Engram, TE, Denver Broncos
Despite having two TE1 performances this season in Week 5 and Week 13, managers will likely want to find a tight end with a better floor for the playoffs, as Engram won't be a promising start against the Green Bay Packers in Week 15.
Dalton Schultz, TE, Houston Texans
In spite of the aerial attack's poor performance, Schultz remained involved, placing second on the team in catches and third in yards and targets. Rookie Jayden Higgins' ascension caps the former's weekly upside, but there's still some PPR appeal here on a squad that ranks eleventh in overall pass rate (58.23%).
Even with Sunday's lowly fantasy output, the 29-year-old had recorded at least five catches and six looks in eight of his last 11 appearances. He's a stable option ahead of Week 15's waivers.
AJ Barner, TE, Seattle Seahawks
Barner figures to see an expanded role if Arroyo is forced to miss additional time. The 23-year-old hasn't been an ideal fantasy option lately, with 35 receiving yards or fewer in each of his last three games. Barner could see a few more targets coming his way, assuming Arroyo is unable to play against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 15.
AJ Barner is someone worth monitoring on the waiver wire in deep leagues this week and will have more TE2 streaming appeal if Arroyo is out.
