6 Dynasty Fantasy Football Sells: Aging Players To Trade Away (2026)

Christian McCaffrey - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Dave's top aging players to sell in dynasty fantasy football leagues for the 2026 season. Which aging players should you trade away in your dynasty leagues?

The 2026 NFL Draft is just a week away. While the buzz in dynasty circles has been lacking due to a perceived weak rookie class, you can be certain that dedicated dynasty managers are working hard to find any edge they can on their league mates.

While the incoming rookie class is the top priority for all dynasty managers right now, savvy gamers are always keeping tabs on which players they should move off their rosters. That is especially true when it comes to aging players. Nobody wants to get stuck holding the bag. Just ask anyone who went down with the ship on Todd Gurley. Even though it can be hard, it’s always better to move off an aging player before the boat completely sinks.

Make sure you’re following RotoBaller on X and download the RotoBaller app for all your dynasty football needs. Let's discuss several aging players to sell in your dynasty fantasy football leagues.

Christian McCaffrey - RB, San Francisco 49ers

McCaffrey is coming off another RB1 finish in 2025. Gamers who took a chance on the oft-injured running back were rewarded in a big way, and he certainly helped carry managers to an elusive dynasty championship.

As good as McCaffrey has been, though, it’s time to face the reality of his situation. While he has been an elite performer whenever he’s on the field, he’s also had plenty of struggles with injuries.

Now, McCaffrey will turn 30 in June, and there is a long list of running backs who’ve seen their production decline at this age. McCaffrey is also fresh off a ridiculous 450-touch season in 2025, and we have numerous examples of running back production declining following a 400-touch season. See Saquon Barkley last year for the most recent example.

KeepTradeCut estimates McCaffrey’s current trade value is worth close to a 2027 first-round pick. It’s uncertain whether or not anyone would actually move a 2027 first-round pick for a soon-to-be 30-year-old running back. 2027 looks like a loaded class, and most dynasty games are treating those picks like bars of gold. However, if someone in your league is willing to make such a move for McCaffrey, you should absolutely consider pulling the trigger.

Even though the 2026 draft class is perceived as weaker, it may not be the worst idea to move off McCaffrey for a 2026 first-round pick plus a little something else. That might not sound like a great haul for a player with such a decorated resume, but it would behoove managers to make a move now, as McCaffrey is just one injury away from seeing his value completely crater.

Mark Andrews - TE, Baltimore Ravens

Andrews was a major disappointment for dynasty gamers in 2025. While he produced for managers in 2024, his production was largely boosted by unsustainable touchdown luck. 2025 was a different story.

After catching 11 touchdowns on 69 targets in 2024, Andrews saw his touchdown rate decline, and he caught just five touchdowns on 70 targets in 2025. This led to an incredibly disappointing season for Andrews as he posted the lowest receiving yardage total of his career and averaged a career-worst 8.8 yards per reception.

While stubborn managers have crafted various excuses for Andrew's poor performance over the last two years, the sad reality is that he appears to be a declining player. After Isaiah Likely signed with the New York Giants in free agency, some dynasty pundits/players believe Andrews could be primed for a bounce back in 2026.

However, Likely's departure does not guarantee that Andrews will return to form or see a larger role. That will ultimately be determined by the new coaching staff and his play on the field. There’s also an outside chance Baltimore takes a tight end in the NFL Draft, and such an event would be terrible news for Andrews’ value.

Unfortunately, over the last two years, Andrews has not played like an elite tight end. Likely’s departure has opened up a window for dynasty managers to sell Andrews. Gamers would be wise to take advantage and move off of an aging tight end whose best days are behind him.

D.J. Moore - WR, Buffalo Bills

Moore is coming off the worst season of his NFL career in 2025. Moore posted career lows in receptions and receiving yards, and was stuck in a very crowded Bears wide receiver room. Still, he flashed moments of brilliance and did pop for a few big plays.

While Moore had his moments, his 2025 season is still highly concerning. The Buffalo Bills were not deterred by Moore’s poor 2025 and believe he still has something left in the tank. Buffalo traded their 2026 second-round pick to acquire Moore. He should function as the team’s WR1.

While many dynasty gamers are excited about this turn of events, there are reasons to be skeptical. Moore will turn 29 on April 14th and is approaching an age where we begin to see wide receiver production decline. The fact that Moore is coming off such a poor season at 28 years old should also give managers cause for concern.

While it’s within the realm of possibilities that Moore returns a WR1 season functioning as Josh Allen’s top target, it’s also possible that Moore’s best days are behind him. Typically, when older players begin to show signs of decline, it’s best to believe what your eyes are telling you rather than hope for a sudden return to form.

RotoBaller’s Dynasty Trade Chart currently estimates Moore’s trade value as a late 2026 first-round pick. Even though this is a weaker rookie class, some intriguing wide receiver prospects could be available at the back end of the first round in rookie drafts. That could make it just enticing enough for Moore owners to sell the soon-to-be 29-year-old receiver.

Derrick Henry - RB, Baltimore Ravens

Henry is coming off another impressive season in 2025. He ran for 1,595 rushing yards, scored 16 rushing touchdowns, and finished as the PPR RB8.

He also fared well in several advanced metrics. Among 49 running backs with 100+ carries, Henry finished:

  • 2nd in Next Gen Stats rush yards over expected
  • 3rd in Next Gen Stats rush yards over expected per attempt
  • 3rd in PFF's yards after contact
  • 17th in PFF's missed tackles forced
  • 19th in PFF rushing grade

All of this shows Henry is still playing at a high level. The issue is that Henry is now 32 years old. While he has remained an elite contributor into his 30s, at some point, Father Time is going to win. He has lasted this long largely because he dishes out more punishment than he takes, but it’s fair to wonder how much longer he can keep this going.

If you are a contender, there is nothing wrong with taking a chance on Henry and banking on him ending his Hall of Fame career on a high note. Just know that there's a ton of risk in taking on a 32-year-old running back, even if that player is Henry. However, if you are not a top contender in your league, then it’s in your best interest to get Henry off your roster and sell him to the highest bidder.

Travis Kelce - TE, Kansas City Chiefs

After contemplating retirement, Kelce is returning for his 14th NFL season after signing a new three-year, $54.7 million deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.

While Kelce has lost a step, he still played very well in 2025, posting a very respectable 76-851-5 line at age 36. His days as an elite fantasy tight end are likely finished, but he can still be a dependable backend TE1 or even a viable flex play in tight end premium leagues.

Kelce’s contract may seem like a multi-year commitment, but when you take a closer look, it is basically a one-year deal that sets the stage for his retirement following the 2026 season. It’s for that reason that Kelce is one of the top tight end dynasty sells, particularly if you are entering a rebuild.

Now might not be the best time to sell Kelce, as the offseason can be a tough time to move veteran players. You might have better luck moving Kelce closer to the regular season. That may not be the worst thing, as it means you will likely land a pick in the much heralded 2027 rookie class as opposed to the much maligned 2026 rookie class.

Still, if there’s a manager in your league who thinks they are a tight end away from a championship, check in with them and gauge their interest in Kelce. If a deal to your liking isn’t available right now, then you can always wait until the season begins to land a better deal for Kelce.

Either way, his time in the NFL and on dynasty football rosters is limited, so it would be wise to move on while you still can.

Saquon Barkley - RB, Philadelphia Eagles

Following his all-world 2024 season, Barkley came crashing down to Earth in 2025. He still eclipsed 1,000 yards rushing, but his 1,140-yard total was a far cry from the 2,005 mark he posted in 2024. Barkley also saw his yards per carry fall from 5.8 to 4.1, and he only scored seven rushing touchdowns compared to the 13 he had in 2024.

Barkley turned 29 in February and is quickly approaching the dreaded 30-year-old marker for running backs. While he struggled at times in 2025, some of those issues can be blamed on the inconsistent play of the Philadelphia offensive line. When Barkley did have room to run, he still showed plenty of burst.

While Barkley is older, he is a talented enough player and good enough athlete to produce an elite season even at 29 years old. Selling Barkley is more about getting out a year early rather than holding on a year too late. We never know exactly when a player will hit the age cliff, so if you have an opportunity to cash out on an older running back for a reasonable price, you should always consider doing so.

Barkley is currently ranked as RotoBaller's dynasty RB10. KeepTradeCut estimates his trade value as a late 2027 first-round pick. If someone in your league is willing to trade Barkley for a 2027 first, stop what you’re doing and get that deal done. That would be a nice return for Barkley.

Even if you can’t land a 2027 first, it’s still a good idea to explore moving Barkley. Start working the phones with the other managers in your league and get the wheels in motion for a potential deal.
