Who should I start for Week 17? Fantasy football outlooks for Malik Nabers, Calvin Ridley, Deebo Samuel Sr.. Our expert fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks.
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers, Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley, and San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. are interesting players to consider starting in fantasy football in Week 17. They haven't had consistently stellar seasons, though.
Nabers has dealt with poor quarterback play, Ridley has dealt with a bad passing attack as well, and Samuel has... just not done a great job for the majority of the season. But we care more about what we think will happen next than we do about what's happened in the past.
So we'll do our best to predict how these guys will fare in Week 17.
Should I Start Malik Nabers for Fantasy Football?
Yes, if he plays. Nabers (toe) was held out of his team's practice on both Wednesday and Thursday, though the issue hasn't been reported to be serious. But he's a game-time decision for his upcoming contest against the Indianapolis Colts, according to himself.

There's a chance he won't be able to play, though. But if he does, he's a special talent at WR and should be started in every game. He's the WR10 on the season in full-PPR despite missing two games with a concussion. He has a massive target share on the season and is the clear alpha WR1 of his offense. There is simply no reason to bench him.
Should I Start Calvin Ridley for Fantasy Football?
Purely based on the matchup and his production with quarterback Mason Rudolph so far, it's easy to see why Ridley is a great player to start in Week 17. The opposing Jacksonville Jaguars have a horrendous defense and have been gashed by wide receivers and quarterbacks for the majority of the season.

Ridley's goal is to be good. He's very talented, but his quarterback situation has certainly held him back this year. But intelligent coaches cater to their players' wishes, and Titans head coach Brian Callahan is likely to be on board with getting the seventh-year pro to the milestone of 1,000 yards receiving. He'll make sure starting QB Mason Rudolph knows that, too.
Should I Start Deebo Samuel Sr. for Fantasy Football?
One of the biggest enigmas of the 2024 season finally broke a streak of five straight terrible games under 7.0 PPR fantasy points by catching seven of his nine targets for 96 yards and a touchdown and rushing five times for 25 yards in a loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 16.

He still has struggled this season, so we'd recommend leaving him on the bench outside of leagues with 12 or more teams. But he has some upside left. It's incredibly difficult to predict how he'll do though. Some might say it's just guesswork.
