Week 7 Defense Outlooks for Fantasy Football

Jacksonville Jaguars DST - Fantasy Football Outlook

The Jacksonville Jaguars defense/special teams unit has a chance for decent fantasy production in Week 7 against the New England Patriots. Third-overall pick Drake Maye will get his second consecutive start after throwing three touchdowns and two interceptions last week against the Houston Texans.

Maye is a young QB with a big arm, so he will take chances, meaning a potential for multiple turnovers. However, the Jaguars defense is one of the worst in football, so in general, it is hard to trust them in fantasy. They did get their first interception of the season last week against Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears, but it is hard to imagine a ceiling beyond that.

Even Deshaun Watson didn't turn the ball over against them. In about as good a matchup as they will get this season, the Jaguars D/ST is a decent play in Week 7.

- Seth Quinn - RotoBaller

New England Patriots DST - Fantasy Football Outlook

The New England Patriots defense has emerged as a viable streaming option for Week 7 ahead of their matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday morning in London. The Jaguars have turned over the football four times over the last two weeks, and they were held to just 16 points and 278 total yards last weekend against the Chicago Bears.

Jacksonville is not playing well this season and has allowed the 13th-most fantasy points to opposing defenses. Although the Patriots have also struggled, their defense has shown enough promise to justify plucking them off waivers in Week 7.

- Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller

Buffalo Bills DST - Fantasy Football Outlook

The Buffalo Bills defense/special teams is one of the top-ranked fantasy football defenses in Week 7. The unit has exceeded expectations and draws the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Quarterback Will Levis (shoulder) has thrown more interceptions (seven) than games played (five).

He's also lost three fumbles and been sacked 15 times. The Titans average fewer than 20 points per game. Expect the Bills' defense to force Levis into more turnovers and finish inside the top 12 at the position this week.

- Andrew Ball - RotoBaller
