Two-Start Pitcher Streamers (Week 8): Head-to-Head Leagues

As a new week is upon us, it's time to get rid of that bench bat or middle reliever you have hanging around. Instead, maximize your roster slots with some pitchers who have two starts this week and are probably still available in your league.

Here are the top two-start pitchers to stream for Week 8 of the fantasy baseball season. This can be especially helpful for head-to-head (H2H) leagues, where every start can be that much more valuable. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @TroyKlauder.

As always, I will be selecting starting pitchers who are owned in 50% or less of ESPN leagues.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Under the Radar Two-Start SP Streamers - Week 8

Jordan Montgomery, New York Yankees – owned in 13.5% of ESPN leagues

Projected starts: vs. KC, vs. OAK

Yankees lefty Jordan Montgomery enters Week 8 with two fantastic matchups, making him this week's top two-start streamer. The Royals struggle mightily with lefties, as shown by their .265 wOBA versus lefties, which is 29th in all of baseball. The Athletics are hardly any better at .299, which is well below-average at 22nd in the league. While both starts are at home, these lineups can't do very much damage to Montgomery. He's got a nice 21.9% K%, and his 3.92 FIP indicates that his 4.81 ERA is the result of some bad luck. His Deserved Run Average (DRA) is even better, at 3.68. Montgomery is probably available in your league, and he's a savvy pickup for a great two-start week.

Mike Foltynewicz, Atlanta Braves – owned in 12.1% of ESPN leagues

Projected starts: vs. PIT, @SF

Mike Foltynewicz hasn't had great success in his 2017 campaign, but his matchups in Week 8 make him worth a grab. His 4.10 ERA is nothing to get excited about, but the 25-year-old still has some potential, and he's got an effective changeup that's been working well for him lately. The real story here with Folty is his matchups, as he gets two of the worst lineups in baseball in Week 8. The Pirates are 28th in wOBA against righties, with just a .291 mark, and are without star outfielders Gregory Polanco and Starling Marte. The Giants are even worse, as they are dead last in wOBA versus right-handers, coming in at just .281. Folty gets to pitch that start at AT&T Park, a great place for pitchers. With these matchups, Foltynewicz is almost impossible to pass up.

Alex Cobb, Tampa Bay Rays – owned in 30.5% of ESPN leagues

Projected starts: vs. LAA, @MIN

Alex Cobb is coming off of a nice start against the Indians where he went seven innings and struck out seven, walking just one and allowing three earned runs. This week, he gets two starts and is worth picking up in your league. Cobb gets an easy lineup in his first start against the Angels, who have a .299 wOBA against right-handers, which is 25th in baseball. He'll be at his home ballpark, where pitchers thrive. Cobb's opposition in his second start gets tougher, against the Twins, but he's a good enough pitcher to still put together a solid start against them. Cobb has a 3.67 ERA and is only walking batters at a 5.9% rate, so he should be owned just about everywhere in Week 8.

Tyler Glasnow, Pittsburgh Pirates – owned in 7.6% of ESPN leagues

Projected starts: @ATL, vs. NYM

Tyler Glasnow is not a streamer for the faint of heart, but his massive upside against two weak lineups makes him a viable acquisition. Glasnow has gotten crushed to the tune of a 7.34 ERA, but he's been striking out 21.3% of batters in his eight starts. If he's able to limit the runs he allows by, even if he only has an ERA around 4.00 for the week, his strikeouts will make him worth the start. This week is his best shot at a decent ERA, as the Braves are 19th in wOBA against righties at .317 and are now without Freddie Freeman, who was responsible for a massive part of that production. The Mets, meanwhile, are 21st with their .311 mark. In shallower formats, Glasnow is probably too risky, but he could pay off huge in deep leagues with his strikeouts.

Scott Feldman, Cincinnati Reds – owned in 9.5% of ESPN leagues

Projected starts: vs. CLE, @PHI

Scott Feldman isn't all that bad of a pitcher, and he can provide deep league value when he gets good matchups. In Week 8, he faces two average lineups, and can give you some strong innings to help win your matchup. The Indians are 13th in wOBA against righties at .326 while the Phillies are 16th at .322. These aren't terrible lineups, but nothing particularly scary for Feldman. If you're looking for some solid production in a deeper league, you can do much worse than Feldman.
