Terry McLaurin's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 12 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Terry McLaurin for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3
ANALYSIS: Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin has been one of the more consistent players in fantasy football over the past few years. The former Ohio State star has consistently been a No. 2 wide receiver for fantasy football players. This season has been no different for the star wide receiver. He is the WR23 for the year, averaging 10 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
McLaurin has 56 receptions on 86 targets for 644 receiving yards and two touchdowns this season. He leads the team in receptions, targets, and receiving yards. However, the star wide receiver is fourth in receiving touchdowns, totaling fewer than Jahan Dotson (four), Logan Thomas (three), and Brian Robinson Jr. (three).
More importantly, the veteran has struggled lately. He has scored fewer than 9.9 fantasy points in three consecutive games, including 6.8 or less in back-to-back contests. Meanwhile, McLaurin faces a Dallas Cowboys defense tomorrow that has held wide receivers to only 20.8 fantasy points per game, the third-fewest in the NFL.
Fantasy players can start the veteran wide receiver if they lack better options this week. However, McLaurin is far from a must-start type of player in Week 12 against a talented Dallas defense.
