Sleeper.com NBA DFS Prop Picks - Over/Under Props for Wednesday, April 3

NBA Betting Picks

Sleeper NBA DFS prop picks for April 3, 2024. Use Jake's NBA over/under props recommendations to win money on Sleeper.

Welcome to our Sleeper NBA DFS prop picks for Wednesday, April 3. If you are still betting nightly on the NBA, congratulations. You made it.

You are one of the few lucky souls that either cashed out this NBA season or don’t have enough significant others to tell them to stop betting mortgage payments on Tobias Harris unders. Either way, it’s been another great basketball season, and nothing makes it more worthwhile than getting to share takes and picks with like-minded fans.

The NBA season will always be full of cheers, jeers, hopes, and nopes, but nothing can keep us from enjoying basketball in its most entertaining form…and maybe trying to gamble our way to floor seats. This isn’t the end, but it is the start, and once again, thank you all for following along.

NBA DFS Props - Over/Under Picks for Wednesday, April 3

Rudy Gobert UNDER 14.5 Rebounds

It’s unclear if the Timberwolves know that they are currently locked into a playoff position the way they are playing their starters heavy minutes this late into the season.

The risk heavily outweighs the reward, especially with Anthony Edwards in a massive shooting slump. This is the time you want to be peaking, not playing the worst basketball you’ve played all year. The ensuing 'last games' before playoffs isn’t a great time to figure things out, and it’s rare that a player shifts gears for no apparent reason, just because it’s now playoffs. Even if the Timberwolves continue down this path, it’s hard to believe they actually keep giving their starters full minutes each game.

There is literally no reason for them to play this much with wins as meaningless as they are currently, outside of Edwards, who has no choice but to find his groove from the perimeter. Rudy Gobert is their best defensive player and the fact he had minimal rest is concerning. Gobert isn’t putting up the same stats he was during the mid-season, so the Timberwolves, still rolling with their starters against a terrible Raptors team, should allow Gobert some rest since this should just be another blowout in favor of Minnesota.

Jalen Suggs OVER 5.5 Rebounds + Assists

This is a hard prop not to like with everything surrounding Jalen Suggs and the Orlando Magic this year. Not only is Suggs a pivotal part of the Magic’s nightly offense, but he’s producing across-the-board statistics at a high rate. Compared to previous seasons, this is the first time where his under-whelming games are few and far between.

Suggs peripheral-stat props have been a smash all year, and players like Suggs and Josh Hart have absolutely filled some wallets with how well they have played this season. The biggest concern with betting on players like these is that there is always the risk that they put all their focus on defense.

Being a ‘glue-guy’ that knows their role and understands how important the smaller aspects of basketball can be, there is always going to be the risk that Suggs is forced to guard the opposing team’s best player and that means sitting in the corner and resting on offense. He shouldn’t have that problem against the Pelicans backcourt, and truth be told, there aren’t many situations where hitting an under this low on Suggs feels comfortable.

Corey Kispert OVER 1.5 Assists

The Wizards gave up on this season a long time ago and Corey Kispert has remained the main beneficiary. Even before the season was chalked, Kispert was proving to be a consistent option off the bench; the Wizards were just a terrible team and couldn’t capitalize on anyone’s strengths when it mattered. Now that it doesn’t matter, players like Deni Avdija, Jordan Poole, and Kispert are the big dogs on the depth chart and have been producing like it.

Playing alongside borderline G-League players is allowing them to post big games, but there’s no reason to buy into anything regarding consistency and these Washington Wizards.

Zero-assist games are nothing out of the ordinary for Kispert. Since he’s a wing shooter playing with two playmakers, Poole and Avdija, it’s hard for him to find chances to assist teammates when he’s usually left open on the wing or is simply able to beat his matchup. Even then, very rarely does he avoid passing altogether. Zero assists doesn’t mean zero passing; it just means zero conversions. You don’t need to watch but a quarter of Wizards basketball to understand the conversions aspect, so even though this seems risky, Kispert will get plenty of opportunities to generate offense against this Lakers defense.
