BALLER MOVE: Start in All Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB1
ANALYSIS: New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley is one of the top offensive playmakers in the NFL. While he has struggled with injuries in his career, Barkley has been a fantasy superstar when on the field. The former Penn State star is the RB19 for the year despite missing three games with a high ankle sprain, averaging 15 half-point PPR fantasy points per contest.
Barkley has been running hot and cold lately. After scoring double-digit fantasy points in five of his first six games, the star running back has totaled 6.6 or less in two of the past four contests. In the other two games, he has scored 20 or more in both matchups. Last week, Barkley destroyed the Green Bay Packers, totaling two rushing touchdowns and 21.6 fantasy points in the upset victory.
Today, he faces a New Orleans Saints defense that has held running backs to the 10th-fewest fantasy points per game this season (16.9). Yet, they have struggled to slow down running backs since their bye week, surrendering 159.7 rushing yards and 24.9 fantasy points per game.
Fantasy players should plug Barkley into their RB1 spot and shouldn't think twice about it. The superstar is a must-start every week.
