BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues

ANALYSIS: Melvin Gordon is currently dealing with strep-throat (could be worse) and potential discipline from his recent DUI arrest, and while he could return this week, that remains up in the air, which leaves a window of opportunity open for Royce Freeman to build off of the contributions that he made this past week. Freeman, the third-year professional out of Oregon, took a big step forward as a pass-catching back last season, catching 43 passes out of 50 targets for 256 yards and a touchdown in conjunction with 496 rushing yards and a trio of touchdowns, but obviously, with Gordon in the picture, his role on the field is greatly diminished. However, if Gordon is sidelined by the plethora of issues he is currently facing over the next few weeks, Freeman could steadily find himself more involved on offense.
Freeman had compiled just 30 yards from the ground off of nine carries prior to the Broncos Week Six matchup with the Patriots, but in that game, he took eight carries for 26 yards rushing, and saw the field for a season-high 25 offensive snaps (39%) after racking up just 60 snaps combined over the four previous games. His role in the passing game has been limited, albeit consistent, receiving at least one target in every game except Week Two against the Steelers, and accumulating six receptions out of six targets for 53 yards overall, with his best showing being Week Three against Tampa Bay when he took two catches for 31 yards. Phillip Lindsay remains steadfastly ahead on the depth chart and had himself a fantastic game this past week, but he also saw zero targets from Drew Lock, so if Gordon isn't a part of the backfield picture in the coming weeks, there may be rewards to be gained from an accelerated role for Royce Freeman as a alternate runner and occasional passing-game target.
