Today's best MLB strikeout prop bets and pitcher K props for Friday, May 29. Thunder Dan's expert MLB player prop picks, betting odds, and advanced stat analysis to help you win.
Strikeout props are not only my favorite MLB bets, but they are also (by far) my most profitable! Strikeout rates for both pitchers and hitters stabilize more quickly than most other stats in baseball, making them some of the most predictive stats that we have in the game. We can dig into recent trends and lineup changes for teams to find an extra edge, but modeling strikeout predictions is something I've done for nearly five years. More often than not, I can find inefficiencies in the strikeout prop market.
I'll offer up a few of my top picks here today, but you'll need to grab a premium pass to see all five of my favorite K prop wagers. Our top MLB writers are posting their favorite props on Discord daily, so gain additional access to those picks with a premium RotoBaller membership.
In this article, I'll provide my favorite prop bets for MLB games on Monday, May 29, 2026. Odds will change during the day, so lock in those bets as early as possible and always shop for the best number across multiple sportsbooks or prediction markets! High-Confidence Strikeout Picks

Max Meyer OVER 5.5 strikeouts (-112 FanDuel)
Meyer will face the New York Mets for the second time in a row, and I know some bettors are leery of betting on a repeat performance by a pitcher who went over his K prop against a team in the previous start.
Max Meyer is breaking out for the Marlins this season🐠

But Meyer cleared that prop by an extra two strikeouts, whiffing eight Mets over seven innings for his third straight outing with six or more strikeouts. He's now gone for six or more in five of his last seven outings, with those two misses being on the hook right at five Ks.
Meyer's numbers are legit this season, as his 27% K% is backed by a strong 13.8% SwStr%. As long as he keeps leaning heavily on his very good breaking balls (he has a very good slider AND sweeper), he should keep racking up good strikeout totals.
This Mets' lineup is trending up in strikeout rate against righties, too, as young hitters like Brett Baty, A.J. Ewing, and MJ Melendez are all whiffing at extremely high rates (30% or higher).
Taj Bradley OVER 5.5 strikeouts (-139 Novig)
Jared Jones is getting all the buzz in this matchup, as he's set to make his 2026 debut for the Pirates tonight against the Twins. His prop has already been bet up to 5.5 in most places, or 4.5 with a ton of juice, so while I will be rooting for a strong start from Jones for my hometown Bucs, I don't really want to bet on him.
I do love Taj Bradley on the other side of this matchup, however. Bradley had a strong outing against the Red Sox in his return from a brief injury stint, striking out seven Red Sox over five frames.

He's now gone for six or more strikeouts in six of his nine starts this season and is sitting at a 27% K% this season.
The Pirates are trending up in K% against RHP lately, with a 23.9% K% over the last two weeks, which is the seventh-worst mark in MLB. They are really missing Ryan O'Hearn right now, who has been replaced by a higher strikeout hitter most nights, whether it's Jake Mangum or Jhostynxon Garcia.
Brandon Lowe, Bryan Reynolds, Oneil Cruz, and Marcell Ozuna have also been high-strikeout hitters this season. So if Bradley can avoid any big innings early, I think he can cruise to six or more strikeouts tonight.
