44 mins agoThe Minnesota Vikings agreed to re-sign defensive end Jonathan Bullard to an undisclosed deal on Tuesday, according to a source. Bullard will return to Minnesota after producing 23 tackles (17 solo) and five tackles for loss in 12 games (seven starts) in 2022 in his first season with the team. The 29-year-old should be expected to continue serving in a depth role on the Vikings' defensive line in 2023, which makes him avoidable in IDP leagues. In his seven NFL seasons for the Vikings, Chicago Bears, Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons, Bullard has posted 136 tackles (87 solo), 3.5 sacks, 18 tackles for loss, 16 QB hits, five passes defensed and a forced fumble in 82 games (22 starts).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: NFL Network - Mike Garofolo

60 mins agoThe Miami Dolphins are re-signing linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel to an undisclosed one-year deal on Tuesday. Van Ginkel has started 31 of the 56 games he's played in for the Dolphins over the last four years, and he decided to return to South Beach after taking a free-agent visit with the division-rival New England Patriots last week. He also had talks with the Las Vegas Raiders. A fifth-rounder in 2019, Van Ginkel lost his starting outside linebacker role after the Dolphins acquired Bradley Chubb from the Denver Broncos last year, but he still contributed on defense and finished with 47 tackles, one interception and half a sack. The 27-year-old has 181 tackles (23 for loss), 11 sacks, one interception and four forced fumbles in his NFL career, and he will provide valuable linebacker depth for Miami.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: SI.com - Alain Poupart

1 hour agoThe Carolina Panthers and head coach Frank Reich view running back Miles Sanders as a three-down back who can do it all. It's why the Panthers let D'Onta Foreman walk in free agency before signing Sanders to a four-year, $25.4 million deal last week. Carolina still has Chuba Hubbard in their backfield, but as of right now, it looks as though they plan to give Sanders as much work as he can handle. The 25-year-old was a disaster for fantasy managers in 2021, but he bounced back with his first 1,000-yard rushing season and 11 touchdowns on a career-high 259 carries in 17 regular season games (15 starts) for the Eagles last year, adding 20 receptions for 78 yards. Sanders' ultimate fantasy upside could hinge on how well Carolina's rookie quarterback fares, but it's a good sign that he'll be heavily involved on all three downs in his new home.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: The Charlotte Observer - Mike Kaye

1 hour agoLinebacker Dont'a Hightower announced his retirement from professional football on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday. "It's been a hell of a ride and a career beyond my wildest dreams. It's time to hang em up, from the bottom of my heart - thank you to everyone who played a part," Hightower wrote. The 33-year-old spent all nine of his NFL seasons playing for the New England Patriots, and he'll finish his career with 569 tackles (353 solo), 27 sacks, 43 tackles for loss, 67 QB hits, one interception, 18 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries (two returned for touchdowns) in 117 regular season games (114 starts). Hightower made two Pro Bowls in his career and also won three Super Bowl rings in New England.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: Dont'a Hightower on Twitter

1 hour agoUniversity of Texas running back Bijan Robinson is taking a pre-draft visit to the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday, according to a source. Robinson to the Eagles in this year's draft makes plenty of sense, although general manager Howie Roseman has never taken a running back in the first round of a draft. The 21-year-old is easily the No. 1 RB prospect in this year's class, and he's fully expected to come off the board in the first round. If the Eagles like him that much, Roseman will have to take his first RB in the first round. Philly let Miles Sanders walk in free agency, but they re-signed Boston Scott and also added Rashaad Penny. However, given Penny's extensive injury history, it would make sense for the Eagles to add some more insurance at the position.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: NFL Network - Mike Garofolo

1 hour agoFormer Buffalo Bills wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie is signing an undisclosed deal with the Indianapolis Colts on Tuesday, according to his agents. McKenzie was expected to have a much bigger year than he did with Buffalo in 2022 after veteran slot man Cole Beasley moved on. The 27-year-old finished last year with 42 catches on 65 targets for 423 yards and four touchdowns, and he added nine carries for 55 yards and an additional score on the ground in 15 regular season games (eight starts). Indy might be a nice landing spot for him on the inside, with Michael Pittman Jr. and Alec Pierce on the outside. As of right now, Gardner Minshew is the team's starting quarterback, but the Colts could also draft a signal-caller of the future in April.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: ESPN - Adam Schefter

1 hour agoFree-agent linebacker Nicholas Morrow agreed to an undisclosed deal with the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday, according to a source. In his lone season with the Chicago Bears in 2022, Morrow had a career-best 116 tackles (83 solo), 11 tackles for loss and an interception in 17 starts. The 27-year-old is a nice addition to the middle of the Eagles defense after they already lost some key defenders in free agency last week. While Morrow won't be a popular player in IDP fantasy drafts, he should at least be worth looking at as a streaming option again in 2023. In his five NFL seasons with the Bears and Las Vegas Raiders, Morrow has 370 tackles (268 solo), four sacks, 31 tackles for loss, 15 QB hits, three interceptions, 22 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 79 games (46 starts).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler

2 hours agoTrade talks surrounding Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins are ramping up this week among interested teams, according to sources. Similar to Brandin Cooks, a trade would likely mean an altered contract for Hopkins. For teams looking to upgrade at the receiver position before April's draft, Hopkins is easily the top target out there, and it sounds like something could go down sooner than later. The 30-year-old has played in only 19 games the last two years combined due to injuries and suspension, but prior to 2021 he had six 1,000-yard seasons in the NFL. He averaged 79.7 yards per game and 10.7 targets with three touchdowns in nine games played in 2022, and a move out of the desert could ignite his fantasy value, especially with quarterback Kyler Murray (knee) not expected to be ready for Week 1 in 2023.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

15 hours agoFree-agent cornerback Mike Hughes finalized an undisclosed two-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons on Monday, according to a source. The former first-round pick by the Minnesota Vikings in 2018 is now heading to the NFC South after spending the 2022 campaign playing for the Detroit Lions. In 16 games (six starts) last year, he had a career-high 51 tackles (35 solo) and a pass defensed. The 26-year-old will offer the Falcons some valuable versatility as a defensive back that has experience both on the outside and inside in the slot. In his five NFL seasons to this point, Hughes has recorded 178 tackles (142 solo), five tackles for loss, three interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), 20 passes defensed, seven forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries (one for a TD) in 57 games (18 starts).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler

15 hours agoThe Indianapolis Colts reportedly aren't one of the teams that don't have any interest in negotiating with Baltimore Ravens franchise-tagged quarterback Lamar Jackson. Because he's on the non-exclusive franchise tag, he can negotiate a contract with other teams. The 26-year-old could be a good fit for the Colts, who haven't had a QB start back-to-back season openers since Andrew Luck in 2015-16. Indy hasn't ruled out having discussions with Jackson, who is reportedly looking for a fully guaranteed deal as his own agent. Team sources have expressed skepticism about the Colts actually pursuing Jackson. In order to land Jackson and sign him to a long-term deal, the Colts would have to do some salary cap maneuvering. They just signed Gardner Minshew last weekend, but Jackson would become the clear starter if the Colts were able to pry him away from Baltimore.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: ESPN.com - Stephen Holder

18 hours agoThe Las Vegas Raiders have agreed to a deal with free-agent wide receiver Cam Sims. It's assumed the deal is a one-year contract, but the salary hasn't been announced yet. The 27-year-old has spent all five of his professional seasons with the Washington Commanders. He has recorded 57 catches for 804 yards and three touchdowns in 55 games. He's expected to compete for a reserve role behind Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers, and Hunter Renfrow.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Ben Standig
Share:
18 hours agoLas Vegas Raiders wide receiver Keelan Cole has re-signed with the organization. The two sides have agreed to a one-year deal for the upcoming season. The 29-year-old mainly played on special teams last season, but also contributed 10 receptions for 141 yards and one touchdown in 14 games. Cole produced a 600-yard season two years ago, so he's capable of being a legitimate contributor. However, it's uncertain if the Raiders plan on using Cole in their passing attack or keeping him on special teams.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Adam Schefter
Share:
18 hours agoThe Cleveland Browns have agreed on a contract with free-agent quarterback Joshua Dobbs. It's a one-year deal, but the salary has not been announced yet. The 28-year-old was given his first chance to start last season. He threw for 411 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in two starts with the Titans in 2022. The expectation is that he'll compete with Kellen Mond to earn the backup role to Deshaun Watson.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Mike McCartney
Share:
18 hours agoFree-agent quarterback Cam Newton is set to throw at Auburn's Pro Day on Tuesday. The 33-year-old appears to be attempting a come back after not playing last season. He last played with the Carolina Panthers in 2021. During that season, Newton threw for 684 yards with four touchdowns and five interceptions in eight games (five starts) with Carolina. It's hard to imagine the former MVP being able to find a starting spot in the NFL right now. Possibly, he's able to find a spot as a backup, but even that is uncertain at this point.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Ari Meirov
Share:
18 hours agoThe Buffalo Bills have reached an agreement with free-agent running back Damien Harris. It's a one-year deal as Harris attempts to rebuild his value after posting a dud in 2022. This doesn't come as a surprise given the fact the Bills were seeking a "heavy back" in free agency. The departure of Devin Singletary means that Harris should slide right into the starting role in Buffalo. Although, it's worth noting that James Cook and Nyheim Hines should be in the mix as well. Harris should get the bulk of the goal line work, which should be good for his fantasy value. In 2021, Harris finished with 15 touchdowns before posting a down year last season. A move to Buffalo should be good news for the fantasy value of Harris going into next season.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Ian Rapoport
