4 mins agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (oblique) will play against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 14, as he was removed from the final injury report for Sunday. Harris didn't practice on Wednesday but was upgraded to a limited participant in Thursday's practice before taking in a full practice on Friday. Baltimore has a weak secondary that teams easily exploit, but they have allowed the eighth-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs. That said, Harris has a wide range of outcomes. Jaylen Warren is back to full health and could start taking a ton of work from Harris, so his floor isn't safe. All that said, he's still a virtual must-start with the current climate of the running back position in fantasy.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerSource: NFL Fantasy
5 mins agoThe Los Angeles Rams defense limited the Raiders to 16 points in the Rams' 17-16 win on Thursday Night Football. The Raiders came in piping hot, having won three straight and led the NFL in yardage during that span, but the Rams limited the Raiders to 302 yards. They were aided by conservative Raiders' playcalling late in the game. CB Jalen Ramsey limited Raiders WR Davante Adams to three catches for 71 yards and none in the second half. Ramsey finished with four solo tackles and a pass defense. LB Ernest Jones intercepted Raiders QB Derek Carr in the end zone to prevent a scoring drive and made another pass defense. S Taylor Rapp added another interception on the first play of Vegas' desperation drive. LB Bobby Wagner led the Rams in tackles with six solo tackles and eight assists. The Rams scored 7.8 points in the Fleaflicker/Rotoballer Challenge scoring system.--Mitchell Blatt - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
11 mins agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (hip) and outside linebacker T.J. Watt (ribs) are officially questionable to face the Baltimore Ravens in Week 14. Johnson would be set to face a favorable matchup if he plays, as the Ravens have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. Johnson's status feels truly 50/50 so fantasy managers should follow his updates up to kickoff. Tyler Huntley is expected to start for the Ravens, so Watt could be in for a big day against a backup quarterback if he can go on Sunday. Watt is a key piece of the Steelers' defense and fantasy teams in IDP leagues.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerSource: Brian Batko
20 mins agoBaltimore Ravens quarterback Tyler Huntley is expected to start against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the absence of Lamar Jackson (knee). Huntley posted a 35-point fantasy performance last season and has real rushing upside, so his fantasy outlook is brighter than some may think. The Steelers have allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks thus far, and even though the Ravens lack high-end pass-catchers, it's well-known rushing quarterbacks can still pay off. It's unknown exactly how long Jackson will be out but Huntley should be a serious streaming candidate for as long as that is.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerSource: Jonas Shaffer
30 mins agoCarolina Panthers running back D'Onta Foreman (ankle) did not practice Wednesday before practicing on Thursday and Friday and was removed from the injury report ahead of the team's game against the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle has struggled to spot the run and has allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to running backs through 13 weeks of the season. That said, Foreman is close to a must-start in Week 14. Players in the Carolina offense don't have safe floors, but Foreman has a ton of upside if he can find the end zone once or twice. Chuba Hubbard will also be a deep league flex consideration, but Foreman seems to be the lead back as of now.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerSource: David Newton
32 mins agoLos Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee caught just two passes for 11 yards in the Rams' 17-16 comeback win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday night. After a fast start, Higbee has had a steep drop off in production. Since Week 5, he has only surpassed 40 yards three times. The 29-year-old has not gained more than fifteen yards in any of the past three games. New Rams QB Baker Mayfield targeted wide receivers 26 times but only targeted Higbee three times. Higbee does not project as a starting TE during the fantasy playoffs.--Mitchell Blatt - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
35 mins agoLas Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (finger) had X-rays done on his pinkie finger during the Thursday night game against the Los Angeles Rams, but they came back negative, so there shouldn't be much concern about his availability moving forward. Jacobs was able to finish the game against the Rams on Thursday after a brief exit and posted 99 rushing yards and a touchdown on 27 attempts. Jacobs continues to be a breakout fantasy football star, so his latest injury update is a sigh of relief for his fantasy managers as the fantasy playoffs begin next week.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerSource: Ian Rapoport
46 mins agoLos Angeles Rams wide receiver Ben Skowronek led the Rams with seven catches for 89 yards in LA's 17-16 comeback win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday night. The 25-year-old seemed to have chemistry with new Rams QB Baker Mayfield despite Mayfield only having joined the team two days before the game. He did most of his damage over the middle of the field and deep, catching two passes of 20 yards or more. This game was only the second time all season that Skowronek has led the Rams in receiving yards and the first time since Week 3 that he surpassed 50 yards. He had been held to 10 yards or less in four of the previous six games. Fantasy managers should watch to see if this was a one-game eruption or a lasting connection with the new signal caller.--Mitchell Blatt - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
1 hour agoCleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (hip) is listed as questionable for Week 14 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Cooper is expected to play on Sunday, but he popped up on the injury report on Thursday with a limited session and didn't practice on Friday. The 28-year-old will enter this weekend's game as a very shaky WR2 for fantasy managers. If he plays, will he be 100 percent? How effective will he be? In quarterback Deshaun Watson's season debut in Week 13, Cooper was targeted nine times and caught four of them for 40 yards. Cooper has had his moments in 2022 in his first year with the Browns and has seven touchdowns in 12 games, but he'll be boom-or-bust in fantasy lineups as he continues to develop chemistry with a rusty Watson.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: The Elyria Chronicle-Telegram - Scott Petrak
1 hour agoLos Angeles Rams wide receiver Tutu Atwell had a career-high five receptions for 50 yards on a team-high nine targets in the 17-16 come-from-behind win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday Night Football. He also carried the ball twice for minus-five yards in the contest. It comes a week after he caught two of his five targets for 48 yards in the Week 13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Atwell looked to have some nice chemistry with quarterback Baker Mayfield on Thursday night after the Rams just claimed Mayfield off waivers from the Carolina Panthers on Tuesday. The 23-year-old should continue to have a bigger role the rest of the way with Cooper Kupp (ankle) and Allen Robinson II (foot) out for the year, but he's merely a deep-league stash with big-play potential at the moment.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: ESPN.com
1 hour agoCleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson missed the first 11 games of the season due to a suspension and returned last Sunday to play in a regular season game for the first time in 700 days. He was rusty and completed just 12 of 22 passes for 131 yards with an interception for a career-low 53.4 passer rating in the win over the Houston Texans. Watson admitted that he was out of sync and acknowledges that he may not return to his previous Pro Bowl form right away. There were clear timing issues on several throws to his receivers, so he still needs to get on the same page with his teammates. Things won't get any easier in his second game of the year this Sunday against the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals. Fantasy managers should continue to treat Watson as a QB2 in fantasy until further notice.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: Akron Beacon Journal - Chris Easterling
1 hour agoDallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said on Friday that wide receiver James Washington (foot) may be able to make his season debut in Week 14 against the Houston Texans on Sunday. "Based off on Wednesday and Thursday's work, I think he's ready to go," McCarthy said. Washington suffered a fractured right foot in training camp and hasn't played at all in 2022 to this point. If the 26-year-old does return, the Cowboys will likely put him on a strict snap count due to his long layoff. And even when he's fully healthy, he may struggle to get on the field for valuable targets in a receiving corps that includes CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup, Noah Brown and rookie Jalen Tolbert.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: Dallas Morning News - Michael Gehlken
1 hour agoLos Angeles Rams wide receiver Van Jefferson scored the game-winning touchdown with time running out in the fourth quarter on Thursday night in the 17-16 come-from-behind win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Jefferson finished with two catches on his four targets for 44 yards and his third touchdown of the year. The 26-year-old became more intriguing in fantasy when both Cooper Kupp (ankle) and Allen Robinson II (foot) were lost for the year due to injuries, but the injury to quarterback Matthew Stafford (concussion, neck) put a damper on Jefferson's rest-of-season outlook. Baker Mayfield's arrival should be good news for the Rams offense the rest of the way, but Jefferson was behind both Ben Skowronek and Tutu Atwell in the pecking order on Thursday night.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: ESPN.com
2 hours agoSan Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch said on Friday that quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) won't be placed on Injured Reserve because the team has already used six of their eight activations from Injured Reserve in 2022. The team also has running back Elijah Mitchell (knee) that they hope can return for the playoffs, so they have little wiggle room left with the IR. The 31-year-old Garoppolo suffered a broken left foot in the Week 13 win over the Miami Dolphins and is highly unlikely to be able to return this year, even if the team makes a deep run in the postseason. With Garoppolo sidelined, rookie seventh-round quarterback Brock Purdy will be San Fran's starter under center the rest of the way.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: San Jose Mercury News - Cam Inman
2 hours agoHouston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins (foot) and rookie cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. (hamstring) are not expected to play in Week 14 against the Dallas Cowboys. With receiver Brandin Cooks (calf) also likely out for the second straight game, the Texans will be forced to rely on Chris Moore and Phillip Dorsett as their top pass-catchers against a tough Dallas defense. Moore and Dorsett suddenly become attractive as flex plays in deeper leagues with quarterback Davis Mills returning to the starting role. Stingley, 21, has missed the last three games. He seems to be improving but has yet to practice this week and is in line to miss his fourth straight contest. With Houston's top two receivers likely out, the Cowboys defensive unit will be a top option for fantasy lineups in Week 14.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: KPRC 2 Sports - Aaron Wilson
