56 mins agoSan Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle will look to maintain momentum when the team hosts the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Last week with receiver Brandon Aiyuk sidelined, he caught seven of nine targets for 90 yards, good for his most productive fantasy game of the year. Against Arizona, he could be leaned on similarly if Deebo Samuel (knee, rib) can't play. Even if Samuel does play though, Kittle has a good matchup in front of him. Arizona brings to Levi's Stadium a pass defense that ranks 21st in the league in yards allowed and is fourth-worst in yards allowed to tight ends. Kittle, who is still looking for his first touchdown, shapes up as a high-end TE1 option for fantasy managers this week.--Brad Beltz - RotoBallerSource: Pro Football Reference

3 hours agoNew England Patriots cornerback Jonathan Jones (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 4 against the Dallas Cowboys. This will be the third consecutive game that the eighth-year DB has missed. Rookie cornerback Christian Gonzalez, who has been excellent so far to begin the season, will need to continue to step up. All Dallas pass-catchers, including wide receivers CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup, Brandin Cooks, Rico Dowdle, and tight end Jake Ferguson have a plus matchup against a short-handed New England secondary.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBallerSource: New England Patriots

3 hours agoThe Miami Dolphins defense didn't have to do much in Week 3's triumph over the Denver Broncos. In fact, they could've surrendered 69 points and still won the game after the offense went nuclear for 70 points in the victory. Miami's defense will be in for a far stiffer assignment in Week 4's divisional tilt on the road against the Buffalo Bills. They project as one of the slate's lowest scoring fantasy defenses opposing this high-octane offense, so they're not at all a recommend play. Fantasy managers can hang their hats on quarterback Josh Allen leading the way in PlayerProfiler's interceptable passes metric (nine) and placing second in danger plays (10), but that's about the extent of the promise if banking on Miami's D. Offense figures to be the story of Sunday's clash when it's all said and done.--Joseph Barbati - RotoBallerSource: PlayerProfiler

3 hours agoMiami Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders managed to etch his name into the history books during Week 3's 70-point barrage versus the Denver Broncos, breaking the NFL record for most extra points in a single game (10). Miami's blazing-hot offense has seen the 27-year-old attempt only six field goals (four makes) with a league-high 17 extra points. The Dolphins may need to keep scoring touchdowns at a frenetic pace to match the equally impressive Buffalo Bills offense in Week 4. Even so, Sanders could be summoned for more action in what projects to be a neutral scoring environment that may not see game script glaringly oppose either side at any point. The former All-Pro is a top-notch option for Sunday's probable shootout.--Joseph Barbati - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

3 hours agoFree-agent wide receiver K.J. Hamler signed with the Indianapolis Colts' practice squad on Saturday. Hamler was waived by the Denver Broncos during camp with a non-football illness designation. He worked out for the Colts in early September and now finds himself a member of their practice squad. It's doubtful that he the 5'9" wideout will make any fantasy impact whatsoever this season.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBallerSource: Indianapolis Colts

3 hours agoMiami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane took the league by storm in Week 3 with an otherworldly 233-yard, four-touchdown showcase. Week 4's top waiver add is sure to be immediately shoved into fantasy lineups by many managers, and the 21-year-old slots in as a realistic RB3 with RB2 upside in a potentially high-scoring environment against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Buffalo has surrendered the seventh-most receiving yards to RBs (121) in its first three games, which could work to Achane's advantage as a pass catcher. We should still temper expectations based on last Sunday's outburst and the rookie's likely lesser role alongside TD leader and fantasy's overall RB1, Raheem Mostert. Achane should be treated as an instant top-24 play in the backfield's 1B role rather than a backup, however, with gobs of upside despite a prospective workload south of 15 touches.--Joseph Barbati - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

4 hours agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) is being listed as doubtful ahead of Monday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks. Earlier on Saturday, Barkley was said to be a game-time decision for Monday but after the Giants' final practice of the week, he's now doubtful. Even with Barkley's practice progress this week, this news isn't too surprising considering that the 26-year-old is dealing with a high-ankle sprain. With Barkley doubtful, expect Matt Breida, Gary Brightwell, and rookie Eric Gray to work as a committee against a Seahawks defense that has been stout against the run this season.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBallerSource: Dan Salomone of Giants.com

4 hours agoMiami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert saw a new backfield threat emerge during Week 3 in the form of De'Von Achane's absurd 233-yard, four-touchdown blow-up. Even so, Mostert accumulated 142 yards and four scores of his own amid Miami's 70-point avalanche. Fantasy managers should not fear that the Dolphins might go away from the veteran amid Achane's breakout; the 31-year-old has looked spry with a league-high 22 evaded tackles. While the cat is out of the bag on the rookie's sheer talent, Mostert remains the best bet for carries in a Week 4 date with the Bills in Buffalo. Fantasy's top scorer through three weeks on the strength of seven scores, Mostert belongs in the high-end RB2 conversation with Jeff Wilson Jr. (ribs) out for at least one more week. We saw Mostert and Wilson maintain fantasy-starter usability during 2022's second half, so this backfield should be fruitful enough to support that treatment for two players.--Joseph Barbati - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

4 hours agoCleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (face) is being listed as questionable for Week 4 against the Baltimore Ravens. According to beat writer Jake Trotter, Njoku suffered burns to his face and arm while trying to light a fire pit in his backyard on Friday evening. As a result, he's now being listed as questionable for Week 4. There's no report on the severity of the burns so it's unclear if he has a real shot to play or not. Either way, fantasy managers should have a backup plan in place in case the seventh-year tight end can't suit up.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBallerSource: Jake Trotter of ESPN.com

4 hours agoMiami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has made opposing defenses look silly in the early goings, leading all wideouts in target rate (40.7%), deep targets (nine), and red-zone targets (seven) to go with 412 receiving yards and four touchdowns. The seven-time Pro Bowler will face his toughest test yet in Week 4 against the Buffalo Bills, who have stymied enemy WRs for the third-fewest fantasy points per game (25.23) so far. Hill hasn't been at his best in his last four games against star cornerback Tre'Davious White and the Bills, averaging 5.3 receptions on 8.3 targets for 46.3 yards with only one touchdown in this period. But an attractive setting featuring the slate's highest projected point total should offer plenty of excitement for Hill's fantasy managers despite a daunting task on paper. The four-time All-Pro is one of fantasy's most confident weekly WR1s, especially with safety Jordan Poyer's (knee) absence perhaps leaving Buffalo more vulnerable to big plays in Sunday's possible track meet.--Joseph Barbati - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

4 hours agoMiami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is off to a scintillating start this year, sitting first in yards per attempt (10.1) and passer rating (121.9), and second in passing yards (1,024) and touchdowns (eight) over three games. The Buffalo Bills, who are on tap for Tagovailoa in Week 4, have shut down opposing QBs for the fewest fantasy points per game (5.43), but they haven't squared off with an offense of Miami's caliber yet. The 25-year-old has mostly struggled in five career starts against the Bills, though, throwing for a 58.4% completion rate with four touchdowns to four interceptions for a subpar 76.4 passer rating. Look for the Dolphins to scheme the ball out of Tagovailoa's hands quickly against a Buffalo pass rush that just feasted on Sam Howell for nine sacks last Sunday. Tagovailoa looks like a great bet for 250 yards and multiple scores as a top-10 option with Jaylen Waddle back from a concussion in a game that figures to see plenty of points.--Joseph Barbati - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

5 hours agoHouston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn has been sharp in his seventh NFL season, and he'll look to continue that at home in Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Fairbairn went a perfect 7-for-7 on kicks last week, including 3-for-3 on field goal attempts. The Texans kicker now ranks tied for fifth with eight field goals made on the year. With Houston's offense being a surprise early in the year, Fairbairn is someone to monitor on the waiver wire. He's ranked 11th among all kickers in points so far and is a solid streaming option in Week 4.--Joey Pollizze - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

5 hours agoThe Houston Texans D/ST will have a favorable matchup at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4. Houston's defense is coming off a game where they only allowed 17 points and forced two turnovers in a 37-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now, they'll face a Steelers offense that has averaged just 18.7 points per game through three weeks. The Texans D/ST has scored nine-plus fantasy points in two of three games this year and is a sleeper pickup option with favorable matchups approaching. In Week 4, though, Houston is a solid defensive streaming option.--Joey Pollizze - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
Share:
5 hours agoHouston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz hasn't been utilized much in the passing game this season. In a Week 4 matchup at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he'll have to overcome a tough matchup. Schultz has just seven catches for 47 yards through three contests with two games under 2.5 PPR fantasy points. The Steelers have been solid against tight ends so far, holding San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle and Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku to under 10 PPR fantasy points. Schultz should only be started in deeper formats in Week 4.--Joey Pollizze - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
Share:
6 hours agoHouston Texans wide receiver Robert Woods will enter a Week 4 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a team-high 25 targets. The veteran has seen at least six targets in every game this season. He is also tied with two other Texans for a team-high 15 catches through three weeks. Woods has been a fantasy surprise so far and has two double-digit fantasy performances in PPR formats. In a favorable matchup facing a Steelers secondary that has given up the fifth most fantasy points to wideouts in half-PPR formats, Woods is a flex option in most 12-plus team leagues in Week 4.--Joey Pollizze - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
