3 days agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson caught 10 passes for 147 yards and added a three-yard rushing touchdown as he totaled 31.0 PPR fantasy points. Jefferson got back on track in a huge way after having two straight duds despite the tough matchup with a stingy Saints defense. The 23-year-old was able to connect on two explosive plays, with the most important play of the game being a 41-yard reception to get the Vikings in field goal range to win the game. Jefferson will continue to possess high-end WR1 value moving forward and will look to build on a strong performance in Week 5 against the Bears.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

5 days agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson will look to get back on track in Week 4 against the Saints as the Vikings travel to London. The young star draws a tough matchup with Marshon Lattimore and a solid New Orleans secondary who have given up the fifth-fewest passing yards this season, but fantasy managers shouldn't be worried. Despite a brutal last two games, Jefferson will remain a must-start option as an elite WR1 this week. We've seen him get loose for some big games in the past against tough opposition, so the 23-year-old should be started in all formats regardless of his slow start to the season.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBallerSource: NFL.com

1 week agoMinnesota Vikings All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson ran wild against the Green Bay Packers in Week 1, but the Eagles and Lions have limited him in the last two weeks by consistently double-teaming him. "I have to do a better job," head coach Kevin O'Connell said, "of giving Justin different aspects of lining up in different spots, different personnel groupings, whatever I need to do to help him." He had nine catches for 184 yards and two touchdowns in the season opener, but he's totaled nine catches for only 62 yards in the last two weeks. A bounce-back won't be easy in Week 4 against a Saints defense that has allowed only 183.7 passing yards per game through three weeks, but Jefferson will continue to be a must-start, high-end WR1 nonetheless.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: ESPN.com - Kevin Seifert
Share:
1 week agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson had his second straight uncharacteristic performance in Week 3 as he caught just three passes for 14 yards. Jefferson saw just six targets in this one, as Adam Thielen and K.J. Osborn both out-targeted him in this one. Fantasy managers shouldn't be overly concerned with Jefferson's lack of production in the last two games, as he will continue to be valued as an elite option at the WR position. The 23-year-old will look to bounce back in Week 4 against the New Orleans Saints.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
Share:
2 weeks agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson draws a great matchup in Week 3 with the Detroit Lions. The third-year stud posted a stat line of six catches for just 48 yards in Week 2, but he continues to get elite usage as he has totaled 23 targets in two games this season. The 23-year-old faces a Lions secondary that has given up the seventh-most passing yards and three passing touchdowns up to this point, so there should be an opportunity for him to get going again in this matchup. Jefferson is an elite WR1 option and should be started in all formats.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBallerSource: NFL.com
Share:
2 weeks agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson caught six of his 12 targets for 48 yards in Monday night's 24-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Darius Slay made life extremely difficult for the third-year stud, as Jefferson's longest catch went for just 11 yards. The 23-year-old still saw a ton of volume in this one, so fantasy managers shouldn't be worried about his outlook moving forward. Jefferson will be set up for a bounce-back game against the Detroit Lions in Week 3, as he caught 11 passes for 182 and a touchdown in their last meeting in 2021. Fantasy managers can continue to treat him as an elite WR1 option.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
Share:
3 weeks agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson will look to build on his hot start to the season after putting up nine receptions for 184 yards and two touchdowns in the season opener. Jefferson and the Vikings will travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles on Monday night, where he could be seeing a lot of cornerback Darius Slay. Slay is one of the league's elite corners, however, Jefferson has proven to be matchup-proof time and time again. The third-year stud is a must-start option in all formats and is among the elite players at the wide receiver position.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBallerSource: NFL.com
Share:
3 weeks agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson had a monster performance in Week 1, putting up nine receptions for 184 yards and two touchdowns. The third-year stud was highly efficient in this one, as he caught nine of his 11 targets and averaged 20.4 yards per catch. Playing in the offensive system that turned Cooper Kupp into the NFL offensive player of the year in 2021, Jefferson is poised to continue offering fantasy managers elite output as a WR1. The 23-year-old will look to build on his strong start to the season in Week 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
Share:
4 weeks agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson is in for a tough matchup with Jaire Alexander and the Green Bay Packers in Week 1. In two meetings last season, the stud wideout put up games with eight catches for 169 yards and two touchdowns, as well as six catches for 58 yards when Kirk Cousins was held out of action. Despite matching up with one of the league's best cornerbacks, Jefferson should be very busy in the new pass-heavy Minnesota offense and can be considered matchup-proof. The 23-year-old should be valued as an elite WR1 to kick off his third NFL season.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBallerSource: NFL.com
Share:
2 months agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson continues to have an incredible training camp this summer, and opposing cornerbacks have done little to limit him. He is winning on every route in every situation. It's no secret that Jefferson will be the focus of the offense, and camp practices have reflected that. Adam Thielen is also looking more like his previous self, with his play more reminiscent of his most productive stretch from 2016 to 2018. Thielen has had some injury-shortened seasons recently. K.J. Osborn could also play a bigger role in the offense in 2022, and he may have improved more than any other player in camp. Jefferson has 196 catches on 292 targets for 3,016 yards and 17 touchdowns in his two NFL seasons. Once Cooper Kupp comes off the board in fantasy football drafts, Jefferson should be right behind him.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: The Athletic - Arif Hasan
Share:
2 months agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has been featured in different parts of the field throughout training camp. In an attempt to exploit opposing defenses this year, head coach Kevin O'Connell, who served as the Rams offensive coordinator last season, plans on utilizing Jefferson the same way Cooper Kupp was showcased in 2021-22. The 23-year-old has been a fantastic addition to fantasy rosters, accumulating 3,016 yards and 17 touchdowns off 196 catches since being drafted in 2020. Although Kupp should continue to be a reliable asset for managers in all formats, Jefferson's skill set could allow him to finish as the year's top fantasy wideout.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NFL.com
Share:
3 months agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson believes Davante Adams is currently the NFL's best wideout. However, he expects to surpass him for the title. "I'll say after this year, I'll be the best receiver in the NFL," Jefferson said during a recent interview. The 23-year-old has been at an elite level since entering the league in 2020, amassing 3,016 yards and 17 touchdowns off 196 catches, so he has the stats to support his proclamation. However, even if Adams remains more productive throughout the 2022-23 campaign, Jefferson should continue to make a difference for fantasy managers while thriving under former Rams offensive coordinator and new head coach, Kevin O'Connell.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Michael David Smith
Share:
3 months agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has high expectations heading into the season. With the Vikings hiring former Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O'Connell to serve as its head coach, the wideout believes he will benefit, similar to how Cooper Kupp thrived in the same system. The 23-year-old finished the 2021-22 campaign by posting spectacular numbers, accumulating 1,616 yards and 10 touchdowns off 108 receptions, all while averaging an impressive 15.0 yards per catch. Although having Kirk Cousins under center is a step down from Matthew Stafford, there's still no reason why Jefferson can't finish as the league's top fantasy receiver.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Cameron DaSilva
Share:
7 months agoNew Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said wide receiver Justin Jefferson will be the Cooper Kupp in the team's new-look offense in 2022. "I see that with Justin. I see an incredible, incredible skillset, but I also see a player we can move around. We can make it hard for defenses to know where he's going to be. He doesn't have to line up in the same spot all the time. He doesn't have to run the same type of routes all the time. He's dynamic with the ball in his hands," O'Connell said. Jefferson has been a star ever since he landed in the NFL in 2020. He's already a two-time Pro Bowler and finished last year with 1,616 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns on 108 receptions in 17 games. With quarterback Kirk Cousins expected to remain in town, the sky is the limit for the third-year pro.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: Pro Football Talk - Mike Florio
Share:
9 months agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson's fantasy managers had to temper expectations in Week 17 against the Green Bay Packers after it was announced that backup quarterback Sean Mannion would get the start with Kirk Cousins going on the reserve/COVID list. Also dealing with the frigid Green Bay weather, Jefferson had his second-worst PPR performance of 2021. While his 11 targets, six receptions and 58 receiving yards were all team-highs, the Viking offense just couldn't get going without Cousins. Changes are likely coming in Minnesota, but Jefferson will continue to be one of the elite options at wide receiver for 2022 fantasy teams.--Aaron KnightSource: ESPN
