5 hours agoGolden State Warriors guard Chris Paul (leg) was forced to exit early during Tuesday's game due to injury. As a result, Paul will miss Thursday's game and be shut down for a few days. The team plans to re-evaluate Paul on Monday. It doesn't appear that he suffered a major injury, so fantasy managers might only be without him for a few games. In the meantime, Cory Joseph and Moses Moody figure to see more playing time. Neither of them offer great fantasy value, but could be a possible deep league target.Source: Dalton Johnson
5 hours agoDenver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon (heel) is listed as questionable ahead of Friday's game against the Phoenix Suns. Gordon has missed each of the last three games while dealing with a right heel strain. His absence has resulted in Justin Holiday moving into the starting five. Holiday has seen increased playing time, but doesn't have great streaming appeal, so managers can likely find better value elsewhere.Source: ESPN
5 hours agoDenver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray (ankle) is listed as questionable heading into Friday's game against the Phoenix Suns. Murray made his return to the court after on 11-game absence on Wednesday. He then injured his ankle during his first game back on the court. If he misses time, Reggie Jackson figures to move back into the starting five. He'd have increased fantasy value if Murray is unable to play. Fantasy managers will have to check back on Friday for another update.Source: ESPN
5 hours agoGolden State Warriors guard Moses Moody will move into the starting five ahead of Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Warriors will be without Andrew Wiggins (finger) for this game, so Moody will get the start on Thursday. It's worth noting that Golden State is also without Chris Paul (leg) and Gary Payton II (calf) for this game. That means, Moody could see fairly decent minutes, which gives him some streaming appeal.Source: Anthony Slater
6 hours agoPhoenix Suns guard Grayson Allen (illness) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Friday's game against the Denver Nuggets. Allen is set to return after missing each of the last two games due to an illness. He could be asked to start with Devin Booker (ankle) currently listed as questionable for this game. A move to the starting five would give Allen more streaming appeal for Friday's game. Fantasy managers will have to check back on Friday for another update on Allen.Source: NBA Injury Report
6 hours agoPhoenix Suns guard Devin Booker (ankle) is listed as questionable on the injury report ahead of Friday's game against the Denver Nuggets. The star guard appears to have suffered an ankle injury during Wednesday's game. Afterwards, Booker said he was unsure if he'd be able to suit up on Friday. He's listed as questionable, but fantasy managers should prepare to be without Booker for this game. Grayson Allen will likely slide into the starting five, assuming Booker sits out. Allen would be a decent streaming option with extended playing time.Source: NBA Injury Report
6 hours agoCharlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (ankle) suffered an injury during Sunday's game versus the Orlando Magic. It was later revealed that Ball has been diagnosed with a right ankle sprain. The team plans to shut Ball down and re-evaluate him in one week. This is a tough break for the Hornets, but hopefully they will get Ball back in early December. Until then, Terry Rozier should see extended run in the rotation. Also, Miles Bridges and Brandon Miller should see more scoring chances with Ball unavailable.Source: NBA.com
7 hours agoLos Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (calf) is a game-time decision for Thursday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. James' left calf contusion, which he sustained all the way back on Nov. 10, continues to linger and cause his appearance on virtually every one of L.A.'s injury's reports ever since. James only needed to miss Nov. 12's game with the nagging issue and only played 29 minutes in Wednesday's 133-107 road rout of the Detroit Pistons. The 38-year-old future Hall of Famer remains a fantasy stalwart, providing second-round fantasy numbers with 25.1 points, 6.3 dimes, 2.2 three-pointers and 1.4 steals in 33.3 minutes per game in Year 21. With Cam Reddish (groin) questionable, Austin Reaves could be primed for a featured role off head coach Darvin Ham's bench on Thursday. Anthony Davis (groin/hip) is probable, so he and D'Angelo Russell may need to shoulder the offensive load in this one if James takes a seat.Source: Brandon Rahbar - DailyThunder.com
7 hours agoUtah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson (thigh) and center Kelly Olynyk (shoulder) are both questionable for Thursday's game versus the Minnesota Timberwolves. Clarkson is managing a right thigh contusion and Olynyk is dealing with a right shoulder strain, with each being minor issues at this stage. Both were uncertain to play ahead of Wednesday's eventual 105-91 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies before getting the green light to go. With Lauri Markkanen (hamstring) out, the Jazz hope one or both players suit up on the second night of a back-to-back. Collin Sexton, Keyonte George, and Talen Horton-Tucker would all be on streaming radars, depending on Clarkson and Olynyk's statuses.Source: David Locke - Utah Jazz radio
7 hours agoLos Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis (groin/hip) is listed as probable for Thursday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Davis originally suffered a left adductor/hip spasm on Nov. 6 and only required a one-game respite on Nov. 8. Look for Davis to be ready to go in Oklahoma City on Thursday after the Lakers took care of the Detroit Pistons for a 133-107 blowout on Wednesday, keeping Davis' playing time in check at 29 minutes. The 30-year-old three-time blocks champion is back on top once again in that department in 2023-24, sending back 2.8 shots per night alongside gaudy averages of 22.2 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 1.1 steals in 34.9 minutes through 18 games. Davis qualifies for top-five fantasy value in category leagues as we close in on the campaign's quarter mark.Source: NBA.com
8 hours agoOrlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. (finger) and guard Markelle Fultz (knee) have both been ruled out for Friday's game versus the Washington Wizards. Carter was on the floor getting shots up at Tuesday's practice, after heread more...
8 hours agoAfter suffering a fractured rib on Nov. 11, Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. (ribs) is targeting a return to play next week that could come as soon as Wednesday against the Washington Wizards. Oubre was reportedly a full participant in Thursday's practice and joined Philadelphia on their current two-game road trip but will be out of action against the Boston Celtics on Friday. Oubre is less than three weeks removed from being struck by a vehicle. The talented 27-year-old scorer has nearly been a top-50 guy in category fantasy leagues this year, turning in 16.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.8 threes, and 1.4 steals in 29.0 minutes per game over eight contests. Make sure Oubre isn't sitting on any waiver wires at this point. Nicolas Batum (finger), who also practiced fully Thursday, should handle an expanded role with Oubre sitting out on Friday, averaging a somewhat useful 7.1 points, 1.9 triples, and 0.9 blocks in 26.3 minutes over his last seven games.Source: Shams Charania - The Athletic
8 hours agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (illness) is questionable for Friday's game against the Boston Celtics. Embiid ended up being a late scratch on Wednesday against the New Orleans Pelicans due to an illness, and fantasy managers hope to receive some clarification on his status in a more timely manner this time around. The 29-year-old fantasy beast is dominating once again in 2023-24, stockpiling 32.0 points, 11.3 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 2.9 combined steals plus blocks in 34.5 minutes per game across 16 starting appearances. Robert Covington, Paul Reed, and Marcus Morris Sr. would comprise a committee at the five if Embiid isn't feeling well enough to go for Friday's heavyweight battle with the Celtics.Source: Keith Pompey - The Philadelphia Inquirer
8 hours agoGolden State Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins (finger) has been ruled out for Thursday's game versus the Los Angeles Clippers due to right finger soreness. It's a tough break for Wiggins and fantasy managers who re-added him off waiver wires, after Wiggins tallied the first double-double of his difficult year with 29 points and 10 rebounds on Tuesday against the Sacramento Kings. The 28-year-old former All-Star's struggles have been well-documented this season, ranking outside the top 300 in category fantasy leagues due to poor free-throw shooting and a lack of defensive stats on averages of 12.8 points, 4.4 boards, and 0.9 threes in 27.2 minutes over 18 starting appearances. Wiggins aims to suit up again for Saturday's road rematch with the Clippers. Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, and Brandin Podziemski are all set for bigger roles on Thursday against L.A.Source: NBA.com
10 hours agoDallas Mavericks forward Tim Hardaway Jr. (back) is questionable for Friday's game versus the Memphis Grizzlies due to back spasms. Hardaway's play on the court has long been streaky, but his availability has been consistent for the Mavs this year, participating in all 17 of their games. Hardaway is slumping of late, averaging 10.0 points on a dismal 30.6% shooting clip overall with 2.8 threes on just 28.0% shooting from beyond the arc over his last three nights. The 31-year-old sixth man is never completely safe to jettison to fantasy waiver wires, as he can heat up in a moment's notice, but we wouldn't fault you for finding more stable options while Dallas is mostly healthy. Keep the struggling Hardaway on watchlists if considering dropping him in shallow leagues, while Josh Green and Derrick Jones Jr. are some names to help fill THJ's shoes if he's out on Friday.Source: Grant Afseth - SI.com
