Kawhi Leonard Could Miss Friday's Game
2 hours agoLos Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (personal) is considered questionable for Friday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. He sat out Wednesday's game due to personal reasons, so this could be a multi-game absence for Leonard. Terance Mann would likely be asked to move into the starting five. He'd have increased value and become a much stronger streaming option if Leonard sits out on Friday. Fantasy managers will have to check back for another update.Source: NBA Injury Report
LeBron James Uncertain For Friday
2 hours agoLos Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (foot) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The superstar forward made his return to the court on Wednesday. He looked good in that contest and he was able to play 31 minutes without any issues. Despite that, the Lakers are listing James as questionable for Friday's contest. Troy Brown Jr. would likely slide into the starting five if James is unable to play. Fantasy managers will have to check back on Friday for another update on his status.Source: NBA Injury Report
Payton Pritchard To Miss Thursday's Game
2 hours agoBoston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard (heel) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. The 25-year-old made his return to the court on Tuesday after missing nine games in a row. It appears he's not fully over the injury as he'll sit out on Thursday due to the same heel issue. His absence won't have a huge impact on the rotation. Malcolm Brogdon should see a slight boost in fantasy value with Pritchard sidelined.Source: Boston Celtics
Julius Randle To Miss Two Weeks
2 hours agoNew York Knicks forward Julius Randle (ankle) is expected to miss some time after suffering an injury during Wednesday's game. The team announced that Randle will be re-evaluated in two weeks after suffering a sprained left ankle. That means, Randle will miss the rest of the regular season, but should be back in time for the first round of the playoffs. In the meantime, Obi Toppin should move into the starting five with Randle unavailable. Toppin could be an interesting streaming option, assuming he gets consistent minutes in the rotation.Source: NY Knicks PR
Grant Williams Upgraded To Available
2 hours agoBoston Celtics forward Grant Williams (illness) has been upgraded to available for Thursday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. The 24-year-old will suit up despite dealing with a non-COVID related illness. Williams should resume his normal role off the bench during Thursday's contest. He has played well lately, but it's not enough to warrant rostering in 12-team formats.Source: Boston Celtics
Robert Williams III Will Suit Up Thursday
2 hours agoBoston Celtics center Robert Williams III (knee) is available for Thursday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. There was some concern that Williams would miss this game because it's the front end of a back-to-back set. The Celtics have been cautious with Williams as he works his way back from injury. Despite that, it sounds like Williams should play his normal role off the bench. Fantasy managers should double check their lineups to make sure Williams is in there.Source: Brian Robb
Andre Drummond Questionable For Friday
5 hours agoChicago Bulls center Andre Drummond (personal) could miss a second consecutive game Friday versus the Hornets, with the team listing him as questionable for the matchup. The former All-Star announced earlier in the week that he is dealing with some mental health issues and might not be ready to return yet. Drummond, who averaged a double in 12 of his first 13 seasons in the league, has bounced around a lot in recent times and his spell with the Bulls this season has resulted in him averaging 6.1 points and 6.7 rebounds in 12.8 minutes. If Drummond isn't in the lineup Friday, Derrick Jones Jr. is set to pick up a few more minutes as a small-ball center.Source: NBA Injury Report
Alex Caruso Questionable Against Charlotte
5 hours agoChicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso (foot) is questionable for Friday's contest against Charlotte. He is troubled by a left foot problem and the injury has limited Caruso to only three appearances across the last six games. Patrick Williams has been logging starts in Caruso's absence, while the rest of the backcourt members have a chance to soak in more minutes if Caruso is out of the lineup. Ayo Dosunmu, Patrick Beverley and Coby White have all done well in spurts lately.Source: NBA Injury Report
Gary Trent Jr. Questionable Ahead Of Friday
5 hours agoToronto Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. (elbow) could miss a fifth consecutive game, with the team listing him as questionable ahead of Friday's meeting with the 76ers. Trent Jr. is a big piece for Toronto who averages close to 33 minutes per game and is scoring 17.7 points a night, so his absence is a bad blow for the team. Jeff Dowtin Jr. and Malachi Flynn have started to get extra burn in Trent Jr.'s absence, but both have failed to impress and don't offer anything for fantasy managers.Source: NBA Injury Report
Will Barton Questionable For Friday
6 hours agoToronto Raptors guard/forward Will Barton (ankle) is listed as questionable for Friday's matchup against Philadelphia. The veteran could miss a second consecutive game after already being unavailable Tuesday versus Miami. Barton made a couple of starts for the Raptors lately when the team was short of healthy bodies, but his role overall has been very marginal in Toronto, as the 32-year-old has averaged only 12.2 minutes per game. Only a few will notice his absence if Barton can't play Friday.Source: NBA Injury Report
Grant Williams Regarded As Questionable Thursday
6 hours agoBoston Celtics forward Grant Williams (illness) is considered questionable for Thursday's matchup versus the Bucks. The 24-year-old is battling a non-COVID illness and was able to play through it when he was also questionable for Tuesday's clash with Washington, but his availability for Thursday is far from certain. Williams is a great glue guy for the Celtics who does a little bit of everything for the team, but his production is very inconsistent and managers should have better options available in most leagues. Sam Hauser and Blake Griffin are in line for extra minutes if it turns out that Williams is unavailable Thursday.Source: NBA Injury Report
Payton Pritchard Questionable On Thursday
6 hours agoBoston Celtics point guard Payton Pritchard (heel) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against Milwaukee. The 25-year-old played his first nine minutes in 10 games last time out against Washington but could now be unavailable again. Pritchard has fallen way behind in the depth chart, so his absence won't impact things in fantasy hoops for as long as the Celtics are healthy. He has averaged only 12.5 minutes per game across 46 outings this season, posting 4.7 points.Source: NBA Injury Report
Russell Westbrook Turns In Vintage Performance In Win
8 hours agoLos Angeles Clippers guard Russell Westbrook looked like his former self when he won MVP in Oklahoma City as he led the team to a nine-point victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday. The 34-year-old finished with 36 points, four rebounds, 10 assists, and two blocks while shooting 13-for-18 from the floor, 5-for-5 from deep, and 5-for-9 from the line. Westbrook dropping a surprisingly efficient and huge night in the fantasy playoffs is exactly what every fantasy manager dreams for. He should get even more opportunities while Paul George remains out.Source: ESPN
Talen Horton-Tucker Goes Off Against San Antonio
8 hours agoUtah Jazz guard Talen Horton-Tucker posted one of the best games of his career on Wednesday as the team took down the San Antonio Spurs by a score of 128-117. The 22-year-old posted a career-high 41 points to go along with four rebounds, five assists, and one steal while shooting 15-for-25 overall and 6-for-11 from beyond the arc. Without three of their best players, Horton-Tucker sees a lot more time than usual. Especially with Lauri Markkanen (hand) sidelined, fantasy managers should take a chance on streaming Horton-Tucker over these last couple of weeks.Source: ESPN
Shaedon Sharpe Collects New Career-High In Losing Effort
8 hours agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Shaedon Sharpe posted another new career-high in points during their blowout loss to the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. The rookie wing posted 30 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, and one block while shooting 10-for-27 from the floor and 6-for-13 from beyond the arc. Sharpe is going to get as much work as possible down the stretch since Damian Lillard has been shut down for the remainder of the season. The only issue is that Sharpe has been very sporadic from a fantasy standpoint.Source: ESPN
