15 hours agoCleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen (back) has been ruled out for his third consecutive game as he will miss the team's home game against the Philadelphia 76ers. He's been battling a back issue since Friday and the team won't rush him back and risk losing him for more time. With Kevin Love also out, the top two streaming options will likely be Dean Wade and Cedi Osman. Last game, Wade received the start and they both received 28 minutes of playing time.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report

15 hours agoOrlando Magic center Mo Bamba (back) was forced to leave the team's last game with back spasms that were too much to overcome. He only was able to play for 12 minutes and had a pretty quiet evening. Now, he's listed as questionable for the team's contest on Tuesday against the Atlanta Hawks. If he can't suit up, Bol Bol and Moritz Wagner will likely see the bulk of the minutes at center. There could be some small ball thrown in, but those two would be the top streaming options.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report

15 hours agoLos Angeles Clippers guard John Wall (knee) won't be suiting up on Tuesday as he tends to his knee pain. The 32-year-old was able to play on Sunday where he put up 10 points and eight assists across 22 minutes of playing time. This seems like either just a rest day or he might have been experiencing a little soreness and they're just playing it safe. Either way, while he's out, Reggie Jackson and Terance Mann will likely see a lot of action at point guard and Amir Coffey will also see a good bit of usage. Either one of the three make for good streaming options.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report

15 hours agoLos Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (ankle) now has an ankle issue added to his injury management with his knee. He was officially ruled out for the team's game on Tuesday against the Portland Trail Blazers. Since Paul George, Luke Kennard, and John Wall are all out as well, there are a lot of minutes and opportunities left vacant. Reggie Jackson, Amir Coffey, and Terance Mann all will see more minutes and usage. In the last game, these three saw a bulk of the minutes with Norman Powell chipping in from the bench.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
15 hours agoNew York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley (knee) is officially listed as questionable for Tuesday's contest against the Detroit Pistons. The 23-year-old was forced to exit the team's last game with knee soreness, so it's no surprise that he appeared on the injury report. There were no other reports to suggest it was more serious than some soreness or pain. He seems to be more on the side of questionable which means he'll play, but fantasy managers should stay tuned for more updates right before game time in case some pain returns and the team plays it safe.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
15 hours agoDetroit Pistons center Isaiah Stewart (toe) is now listed as questionable to make his return from a seven-game absence. Originally he was given 2-to-3 weeks until he was re-evaluated. We're now in the middle of that range and he seems to be getting closer to making a return to the floor. If he does return on Tuesday, Jalen Duren and Marvin Bagley III will likely take a hit to their fantasy value. Bagley would be the more trustworthy fantasy option moving forward as he can slide into the power forward role on the starting five.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
15 hours agoDetroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (knee) is still listed as questionable going into the team's game on Tuesday night. He's already missed his last two games and was listed as questionable before the last one on Sunday. In their last game, Rodney McGruder received the start, but Alec Burks and Hamidou Diallo saw more minutes and usage. The latter two players are the better streaming options if Ivey can't give it a go.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report

1 day agoSacramento Kings shooting guard Malik Monk came off the pine to nearly outscore the Suns' bench all on his own in Monday's 122-117 loss, notching a season-high 30 points on 12-for-17 shooting. The Suns' bench combined for 32 points. Monk shot 2-for-5 from downtown and even got close to a double-double, handing out eight assists with three turnovers. His defensive work included one steal in 30 minutes. This was a red-hot shooting night from the 24-year-old, and Monk has now delivered at least 26 points in half of his last six games. He is also averaging 4.5 assists for the month, so the Lakers misfit has become a very valuable piece for Sacramento and his fantasy stock should continue to trend upward.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

1 day agoPhoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker posted his second-highest scoring mark of the season in Monday's win over the Kings, going for 44 points on 17-for-28 shooting. Five of his misses came with six attempts from behind the arc. Booker added eight rebounds, four assists and an incredible six steals to his line with six turnovers in 41 minutes. This was a superb performance from the Suns stars, even though Booker himself noted after the game that he simply did what he gets paid to do. Booker will be out to prove his worth next against the Bulls on Wednesday. Chicago and its rock-solid defense will be a tough challenge for him, but Booker will then find himself in a pair of very favorable matchups against Houston and San Antonio.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

1 day agoBrooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant had a magical night against Orlando Monday, dropping a season-high 45 points on 19-for-24 shooting in a 109-102 win. He was 3-for-5 from behind the arc and 4-for-4 at the foul line. Fantasy managers could've done without Durant's six turnovers, but he made up for it with seven rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks. Durant has been playing out of his skin all season, and here, he found a way to take his game even to another level. With him leading the charge, the Nets are finally at the .500 mark and Durant should be a very strong MVP candidate if he drags his team to the playoffs.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

1 day agoBoston Celtics guard Marcus Smart thoroughly enjoyed picking apart the Hornets Monday, delivering a career-high 15 assists while scoring 22 points in a huge 140-105 win. He shot 8-for-11 from the field, with Smart's only misses coming during his nine three-point attempts. He was of course a busy man on the defensive end as well, picking up two steals in 31 minutes. Smart has been averaging a career-high 7.5 assists this season, so he has improved his playmaking and Monday's performance will have been very pleasing for him. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year now has five games with 10-plus assists for the year and all of them have come this month.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

1 day agoMinnesota Timberwolves guard/forward Anthony Edwards had one of his best offensive games of the month Monday versus Washington, finishing a 142-127 loss with a team-high 29 points on 9-for-19 shooting. He made only one of his six attempts from deep, but Edwards was able to boost his scoring numbers by getting 10 points at the charity stripe with 11 shots. He produced a good all-around line with eight rebounds, two assists and two steals but also had seven turnovers in 37 minutes. This should be the start of a very productive period for Edwards, as Karl-Anthony-Towns (calf) was hurt in the contest and looks set to miss some time. He will be the focal point of the offense, and with efficient shooting, Edwards should rack up points in a hurry.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

1 day agoWashington Wizards forward/center Kristaps Porzingis exploded for a career-high 41 points in Monday's 142-127 victory over Minnesota. The bucket was like an ocean for him as Porzingis shot 12-for-18 from the field with a 6-for-10 record from outside. He was perfect at the foul line with 11 attempts and capped off the night with four rebounds, three assists, two steals and three blocks. This was a comfortable victory for the Wizards in a high-scoring affair and Porzingis ended up playing for just 31 minutes, so he could've easily gotten near the 50-point mark if the game had stayed competitive. His previous career-best scoring night came back in his New York days in November 2017. This could end up being a very fruitful week for Porzingis, as Washington now faces Brooklyn, Charlotte and the Lakers, three teams that are vulnerable defensively.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
Share:
1 day agoBrooklyn Nets point guard Ben Simmons played only 11 minutes against Orlando Monday, leaving the game with left knee soreness. He went scoreless in the game, missing three shots from the field, and collected four rebounds and three assists with two turnovers. Joe Harris and Seth Curry picked up the slack, with the former even ending up logging 36 minutes in the game. Simmons had just found some momentum, so it's very unfortunate that he has picked up another injury. The team hasn't yet said if he will miss any time but it seems likely. In addition to Harris and Curry, Edmond Sumner might also get a boost with Simmons out of the picture, although he logged only seven minutes Monday and hasn't really used his minutes well all season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: Brooklyn Nets
Share:
1 day agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns suffered a right calf strain in Monday's loss to Washington. He left in the third quarter after posting eight points in 22 minutes with two rebounds and four assists. Towns will undergo further tests Tuesday, but there is optimism that he avoided a serious injury. However, he is still looking at some time on the sidelines, with muscle strains typically taking a few weeks to heal. Fantasy managers should key in on Kyle Anderson whilst Toews is absent. He logged extended minutes Monday and looks set to join the starting five. Anderson is a guy who does a bit of everything for his team, so he should be a useful piece in all fantasy formats.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
