2 days agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge blasted a two-run shot off Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Tim Mayza for his 61st home run of the season, tying Roger Maris for the American League record. Judge joined Maris as the only American League player to reach the 61-home run mark in a single season. The 30-year-old went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer and a walk in Wednesday's contest against the Blue Jays. Wednesday's game is currently in the ninth inning; the Yankees slugger could have one more at-bat. Judge is having an incredible season, slashing .313/.425/.696 with 61 home runs, 130 RBI, 130 runs and 16 stolen bases over 151 games.--Brad Camara - RotoBallerSource: New York Yankees

1 week agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge achieved one record and got one step closer to another in Tuesday's 9-8 win over the Pirates, going 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk, and a strikeout. Judge's 60th HR of the season came in the bottom of the ninth inning to kick off what would be a five-run inning. The 30-year-old is now one of three Yankees to ever hit 60 HR in a season and is just one shy of tying the American League record for most HR in a single season. He has been fantasy's best hitter this season, slashing .316/.419/.703 with 128 RBI and 16 steals.--Connelly Doan - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com

2 weeks agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge continued his climb towards history Tuesday, hitting two more home runs in a 3-for-4 day at the plate. He also was intentionally walked and scored three runs. The only blemish on the day was his third caught-stealing of the season in 19 attempts. Judge is now 20 homers ahead of Kyle Schwarber for the major-league lead in the category, and he has a 1.106 OPS with 57 long balls, 16 steals, 116 runs scored, and 123 RBI. Fantasy managers are enjoying a once-in-a-lifetime campaign from the slugger.--Doug Goldring - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com

4 weeks agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge has put together an incredible season in 2022. The righty slugger appears to be the Yankees only reliable source of offense at the moment. On Sunday, Judge went 3-for-5 with a home run and a double in the 2-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays. This home run notched his 53rd in 130 games this season. Somehow, Judge has 53 home runs and 115 RBI and it's only the beginning of September. The right-handed slugger is carrying the Yankees offense through this rough stretch of play.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

1 month agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge went 2-for-4 with his 47th home run of the season (a solo shot) and a strikeout on Monday in the team's 4-2 win over the New York Mets. It was Judge's first home run in the last nine games, so the Yankees and his fantasy managers are hoping that the long ball will end his current mini-skid at the plate. Still, the American League MVP front-runner is hitting .281 (18-for-64) with five home runs, 12 RBI and 12 runs scored in 19 games in the month of August, and he remains a must-start in fantasy each and every day. The 30-year-old slugger leads baseball in runs scored (99), homers (47), RBI (103), walks (69), slugging percentage (.658), OPS (1.050) and total bases (292).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com

2 months agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge is not in the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Seattle Mariners. It looks to be a normal day off for the clear leader of the American League MVP race this season. Make sure to move Judge to your benches on Wednesday. With Judge getting a breather, Matt Carpenter will move into right field and hit third in the batting order against Mariners right-hander Luis Castillo. Carpenter will be a popular DFS play in the three-hole for the Yanks, as he's hitting .321/.433/.795 with a 1.227 OPS, 15 home runs, 36 RBI and 28 runs scored in 112 at-bats for the Yankees this year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: Baseball Press
Share:
2 months agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge went 3-for-5 with two more home runs (including a grand slam), six RBI, two runs scored and a strikeout in the team's 11-5 blowout win over the Kansas City Royals on Friday. Judge is having an absolute monster season, and he's gone deep eight times in the first nine games of the second half of the season to boost his overall line to .297/.378/.668 with a 1.046 OPS, a league-leading 41 homers, a league-leading 89 RBI, a league-leading 84 runs scored and 10 stolen bases in 431 plate appearances over 98 games played. The 30-year-old slugger is the clear leader in the American League MVP race and he should be started each and every day in fantasy lineups.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com
Share:
2 months agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge came into the game as the home run leader and added more to his total on Friday. The 30-year-old went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and four RBI in the win over the Baltimore Orioles. This marked his sixth multi-homer game of the season. Now, Judge has a league leading 36 home runs on the year and doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon. At this point, Judge is the front-runner for American League MVP.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com
Share:
2 months agoThe New York Yankees made no progress with outfielder Aaron Judge on a contract extension over the All-Star break. "The Yankees are willing to bump their offer of a $30.5 million salary, perhaps to $32.5 million or so. But there's no reason to believe Judge is lowering his ask from $36 million to something closer to $32.5 -- and no reason to believe they are any closer," Heyman said on Audacy Sports. Contract issues aside, Judge is the front-runner to win the American League MVP this year. He started off the second half of his season on the right foot during a doubleheader on Thursday by hitting his league-leading 34th homer of the season. The 30-year-old slugger is hitting .282/.366/.619 overall with a .985 OPS, the 34 homers, 73 RBI, 76 runs scored and eight stolen bases in 344 at-bats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: MLB Network - Jon Heyman

3 months agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge went 3-for-3 with a pair of home runs, a walk, three total runs, and three total RBI in a 14-1 victory against Boston on Saturday. He belted a solo homer in the fifth inning and a two-run shot in the sixth frame. The 30-year-old has homered three times over his last three games. He leads the majors with 33 home runs and is arguably the best player in fantasy right now. Judge is slashing .281/.360/.618 with 33 home runs, 69 RBI, 72 runs, and eight stolen bases over 383 plate appearances in 2022.--Brad Camara - RotoBallerSource: MLB
Share:
3 months agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge is getting the day off on Tuesday as the team takes on right-hander Graham Ashcraft and the Cincinnati Reds. Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Hicks and Joey Gallo will be covering the outfield for the game. Judge struggled a bit during the team's four-game series against the Boston Red Sox this past weekend. He sat out one of the games due to lower body soreness and wound up going just 3-for-15 with a double, a walk and six strikeouts over the other three games. Tuesday's day off will give him another day of rest following the Yankees' off day on Monday. Expect to see him back in the lineup Wednesday.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com
Share:
3 months agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge (lower body) is back in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Boston Red Sox. He sat out of Thursday's contest due to lower body soreness, but is back on Friday. He'll serve as the designated hitter and bat second versus right-hander Connor Seabold. The 30-year-old slugger is putting together a monstrous season with a league-leading 30 home runs. Fantasy managers should make sure Judge is back in their lineups for Friday.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com
Share:
3 months agoNew York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that outfielder Aaron Judge (lower body) isn't in the starting lineup on Thursday against the division-rival Boston Red Sox because he's "been dealing with some kind of lower body soreness thing." The Bergen Record's Pete Caldera is reporting that Boone said that Judge will probably be available as a pinch-hitter, signaling that his injury isn't a serious one. Judge had been in a slump recently but had three hits, including a grand slam, on Wednesday to break out of it. The 30-year-old slugger has been outstanding this year and remains a must-start when he's in the lineup in fantasy. Aaron Hicks is in center field and batting sixth against Red Sox right-hander Josh Winckowski on Thursday. Hicks has been pretty disappointing this year, but he is 5-for-13 (.385) with a homer and six RBI in five games over the last week of play.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: The Michael Kay Show
Share:
3 months agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge is getting the day off on Thursday as the team opens up a four-game road series against the Boston Red Sox. Aaron Hicks will be starting in center field for the game with Joey Gallo and Giancarlo Stanton covering the corner outfield positions. Judge hit his MLB-leading 30th home run of the year on Wednesday. While his batting average has dipped down to .287 on the year, he is still maintaining a ridiculous .627 slugging percentage. Expect to see the 30-year-old superstar back in the lineup for Friday's game.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com

3 months agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge is not in the starting lineup on Sunday against the Cleveland Guardians. Judge will get the day off after starting both of the games in Saturday's doubleheader against the Guardians, when he went just 1-for-7 with a double, two walks, two runs scored, a stolen base and two strikeouts. The 30-year-old slugger is the clear favorite for American League MVP honors to this point in the season, as he's hitting .282/.360/.619 with a .979 OPS, a league-leading 29 home runs, 59 RBI, a league-leading 64 runs scored, six stolen bases and a league-leading 182 total bases in 77 games. Marwin Gonzalez is playing left field and batting ninth against Guardians right-hander Triston McKenzie on Sunday. The veteran is a low-upside DFS play in the nine-hole who is hitting .253 on the year with three homers and nine RBI in 99 at-bats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: Baseball Press
