Boston Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara will not make it into the lineup for Friday's contest with the Dallas Stars due to a lower-body injury. The 41-year-old flew back to Boston for further evaluation after suffering the injury in a game against the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday. The loss will be a big one for the Bruins as their most veteran defenseman remains an integral piece of the team's defensemen core. While Chara's offense production has slipped in his later years (4 points in 18 games this year), the towering blueliner still plays a rugged game and has been skating 21:30 per night in 2018-2019.
