Zach Wilson Remains Day-To-Day
3 years agoNew York Jets rookie quarterback Zach Wilson (knee) remains "day-to-day," and head coach Robert Saleh won't speculate on if Wilson will be ready to return from a PCL sprain to play in Week 12 against the Houston Texans. The Jets announced on Wednesday that veteran Joe Flacco will start over Mike White in Week 11 against the Miami Dolphins. Wilson has been out since injuring his knee in Week 7, and the Jets will not bring him back until he is 100% healthy to avoid setting him back in his development after he was this year's second overall pick. In his first six NFL starts, the 22-year-old has completed 57.5% of his 181 pass attempts for 1,168 yards, four touchdowns and nine interceptions. Wilson has been sacked 19 times as well.
