Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Zach Whitecloud turned into a playmaker in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against Dallas on Friday, finishing a 4-3 overtime victory with two assists. He had a primary assist on a William Karlsson strike and registered a secondary assist when Teddy Blueger scored. The 26-year-old completed his line with one shot on goal, three blocks and one hit in 20:14 of ice time. Whitecloud has produced four assists in total in 12 playoff appearances this year, adding one goal.
