Minnesota Wild left wing Zach Parise opened the scoring in a 4-1 loss to the Colorado Avalanche. The 34-year-old has struggled to stay healthy over the past two seasons but has shown flashes of productivity when he avoids injury. Parise is skating on the second line with Mikko Koivu and Nino Niederreiter to start the season while also getting time on the second power-play unit.
