Zach Eflin Throws Shutout

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zach Eflin threw a complete-game, four-hit shutout in Kansas City on Saturday night. Eflin struck out seven and didn't allow a walk in the dominant effort. That's now three wins in his past three starts where he's given up just two runs in 25 innings, lowering his ERA to 2.47. Eflin is not a big strikeout guy, but he makes up for it by not giving up hard contact. At 24.2 percent, his hard-contact rate is the lowest in baseball and his 4.1 percent walk rate is seventh. The lack of strikeouts will prevent him from being a true fantasy ace, but at this point the success is too hard to ignore. He should be owned in almost all leagues, even if he faces a tall order next time out versus the Brewers.
