Yuli Gurriel Posting 1.110 OPS Since All-Star Break
5 years agoHouston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel is slugging .649 over his last 15 games heading into the team's series against the Rays on Tuesday. Since the All-Star break, Gurriel has become one of the most surprising offensive powerhouses in the American League. After posting a .796 OPS in his first 81 games this season, Gurriel has posted a 1.110 mark over his last 40 games with 12 home runs ,12 doubles and 41 runs batted in. He is absolutely destroying right-handed pitching this season, slashing .331/.358/.579 through 359 at-bats. The Astros will go up against Rays right-handed starter Charlie Morton Tuesday night.
