Yuli Gurriel Hitting .213 In Second Half
6 years agoHouston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel will try to turn his second half around when the team opens up a series with the Tigers in Detroit on Monday. Gurriel is slashing only .213/.251/.338 in 42 games since the All-Star break and has lost at-bats recently to the emerging Tyler White. The 34-year-old is still having a solid season and has three extra-base hits in seven games played in September. For the season, Gurriel is slashing .277/.310/.408 with 10 home runs, 30 doubles, 61 runs scored and 70 runs batted in through 473 at-bats.
