3 years agoThe Chicago White Sox optioned catcher/designated hitter Yermin Mercedes and right-hander Zack Burdi to Triple-A Charlotte on Friday and activated outfielder Adam Eaton (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Mercedes was the talk of baseball in the first month of the season when he had a 1.113 OPS and five home runs. However, he's recorded a .537 OPS and just two home runs since and will head to the minors to make some adjustments. Fantasy managers in keeper/dynasty leagues should hang onto him. Eaton has been out for several weeks with a right hamstring strain. The veteran outfielder is slashing just .195/.296/.345 with five home runs, 27 RBI and two steals in 203 plate appearances. Eaton is pretty mediocre across the board in most fantasy categories and will mostly be an option in AL-only setups.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
