Columbus Blue Jackets right wing Yegor Chinakhov (back) won't be available for opening night. The 22-year-old missed the preseason with a back problem, and while he has been regarded as day-to-day, it appears as though the issue is a bit more serious and hasn't gone away. It's no doubt a frustrating situation for Chinakhov after he already missed most of 2022-23 with an ankle injury. The Russian winger last played on Dec. 19 and had 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in 30 outings before the injury ended his season. Blue Jackets goaltender Daniil Tarasov (knee) has also been ruled out for Thursday's meeting with Philadelphia.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
