Yannick Ngakoue Signs One-Year Deal With Bears
1 year agoThe Chicago Bears signed top available free-agent defensive end Yannick Ngakoue to a one-year, $10.5 million deal on Thursday, including $10 million guaranteed. The deal was confirmed by his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. Ngakoue has been great the last two years with the Las Vegas Raiders and Indianapolis Colts, totaling 19.5 sacks in 32 starts, although he ended last season with a neck injury. The 28-year-old has also had at least 8.5 sack in all seven of his NFL seasons, so he will be a big boost to a Bears defense that had a league-low 20 sacks in 2022. Ngakoue doesn't do much in terms of tackling and stopping the run, so he's a one-dimensional defensive lineman in IDP fantasy leagues, and it's unclear exactly how healthy he is.
