2 years agoThe New York Yankees are calling up starting pitcher Domingo Acevedo, their No. 7 prospect, according to a source. He'll replace Domingo German in the rotation after the Yanks optioned him after his poor start on Friday. Acevedo was 2-2 with a 2.84 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 7.1 K/9 in 11 outings (eight starts) for Double-A Trenton this year in the minors. The 6-foot-7 right-hander throws gas (high-90s fastball) but may profile better as a reliever in the long term. Take a wait-and-see approach with him in mixed leagues for now.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
