Toronto Maple Leafs right wing William Nylander scored a hat trick during their victory over the Calgary Flames on Tuesday evening. Nylander scored his first goal of the evening in the second frame on the power-play. In the final minutes of the period, Nylander found the back of the net again, this time during 5-on-5 play. In the final frame, Nylander would score the empty-netter to complete the hat trick and put the game out of reach. This performance extended Nylander's goal streak to three games. Over his previous eight contests, the 28-year-old has found the back of the net nine times and added two helpers. Overall, Nylander has scored an impressive 33 goals with 22 helpers across 53 games.
