With no losses since her MMA debut, Weili Zhang has now suffered back-to-back losses at the hands of strawweight champion Rose Namajunas. This time the contest was much closer on Saturday, as it went to a split decision (48-47, 49-46, 47-48). Statistically, Zhang landed 83 significant strikes (162 total strikes) in 25 minutes of championship action. Zhang appeared to have improved her wrestling game but struggled in the championship rounds. Though she was unable to get the better of Namajunas, Zhang still has the ability to score big wins in the strawweight division.--Matt Bricker
