The Washington Football Team signed former Detroit Lions and New York Jets cornerback Darryl Roberts to an undisclosed deal on Friday, according to a source. Roberts was selected in the seventh round out of Marshall by the New England Patriots in 2015. The 30-year-old spent his first four seasons in the NFL with the Jets, compiling 155 solo tackles, four tackles for loss, one QB hit, three interceptions, 27 passes defensed and a fumble recovery in 56 games (26 starts). In 11 games (five starts) with Detroit last year, Roberts had 39 tackles (34 solo), an interception and six passes defensed. Roberts was forced into playing last year due to injuries in the Lions secondary. He can be a solid spot starter, but he'll mostly likely be providing Washington with cornerback depth in 2021.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
