Wade Davis Blows Third Save Of 2018
Wade Davis succumbed to the bad juju surrounding the Colorado bullpen on Thursday by blowing his third save of the season. Davis was tasked with protecting a one-run lead after setup man Mike Dunn allowed a pair of runs the inning before, but thanks to a pair of wild pitches, the tying run scored for the Reds. It was just the third time in his career that Davis has thrown two wild pitches in a single outing, but the third blown save matches his career high for a season, and it's only the start of June. Davis is currently leading the National League in saves, but he's also been effectively wild. Owners should consider this a blip on the radar and he's still one of the best in the game, but he hasn't quite been as dependable as in the past.
