1 year agoGreen Bay Packers running back Jamaal Williams has seen his role increasingly shrink as the year has gone on. He started the season as Green Bay’s unquestioned starting running back but has ceded most of his touches to running back Aaron Jones. He did see a small uptick in usage last week after the departure of Ty Montgomery. Still, Williams is a back who needs a lot of volume to be effective and he wasn’t even getting enough at the start of the year. Williams has been more reliable in pass protection and ball security than Jones so his role is not going to disappear. Regardless, it is low enough that he should not be started in Week 10 despite a favorable matchup against the Miami Dolphins. He may get the occasional touchdown, but unless there is an injury to Jones there will not be much production from Williams.--Tyger McGuiggan
