Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Absent Against Pirates
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (hamstring) is absent from the team's starting lineup on Tuesday in Pittsburgh against the Pirates for the second game of the series. Ty France is starting at first base and batting sixth against Pirates right-hander Mitch Keller. Guerrero will take a seat after being pulled early in Monday's series opener with tightness in his left hamstring. The 26-year-old All-Star is undergoing an MRI exam, so we should know soon whether he'll need a stint on the injured list. If Vladdy does need to rest for an extended period, France would be the beneficiary of regular playing time for Toronto at first base. Guerrero is a must-stash fantasy asset if he goes on the IL, as the five-time All-Star has been one of the most consistent offensive contributors in MLB this year with a .298/.396/.498 slash line, 21 homers, 69 RBI, 83 runs and five steals in 124 games. UPDATE: Guerrero has inflammation in his left hamstring and is being considered day-to-day.
