Golden Knights Will Face Jets In Western Conference Final
7 years agoThe Vegas Golden Knights have been waiting around for their opponent in the Western Conference finals and after Thursday night's Game 7, the Winnipeg Jets have moved on. Game 1 will take place on Saturday in Winnipeg. This one appears to favor the Jets, as their depth has proved to be a key factor, and it showed in their series against Nashville. Golden Knights general manager George McPhee told ESPN in March, "We don't have the elite players that other teams have. We thought that perhaps if our third and fourth lines were better than other clubs' third and fourth lines, that could be a way to even things out." This one will most likely come down to goaltending, as Marc Andre-Fleury and Connor Hellebyuck are both playing some of the best hockey of their careers. After Round 1, every playoff game has been keeping viewers on the edge of their seats. Look for another great series starting Saturday between an underdog and elite squad.
