Tyreek Hill 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Speedster Seeking Rebound With Healthier Team
Tyreek Hill only caught 81-of-123 targets for 959 yards and six touchdowns in 2025, just one year after leading the league with 1,799 yards and 13 TDs. While he suffered due to Miami's poor play and inability to push the ball downfield when Tua Tagovailoa missed six games, he only had a 56-694-6 line in the 11 Tua games. For context, Jonnu Smith carried a 62-626-5 line in that time, and Jaylen Waddle posted a 41-581-2 trio. Smith has also been traded to Pittsburgh, which frees up several targets per game to be spread around. Hill also played through a wrist ligament issue and had offseason surgery, but is already catching passes as of early June, and is expected to be okay for camp. And his wrist shouldn't have affected the downturn in his running. Per Next Gen Stats, Hill's top speed in 2023 was 22.01 mph (third fastest) and he held three of the top 10 slots, but couldn't crack the top 20 in '24, reaching 20.52 mph in Week 10. Lesser separation combined with more efficient, quick throws from Tagovailoa resulted in fewer home run shots for Hill. Was Miami emphasizing shorter throws to protect Tua, or because Hill's worse breakaway abilities left them calling an audible? If you believe the team rebounds and the speedster still has top-gear speed, then you're siding with our top-30 rank versus an early ADP around pick 35.
