Tyler O'Neill, Paul DeJong Sitting On Monday
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Tyler O'Neill (finger) and shortstop Paul DeJong are not in the starting lineup on Monday against the San Francisco Giants. O'Neill has been out since getting hit by a pitch in the right pinkie on Saturday. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. DeJong is likely just receiving a normal day of rest. Dylan Carlson is in left field and is hitting leadoff, while Edmundo Sosa is starting at shortstop and is batting eighth against Giants right-hander Kevin Gausman. Gausman has been fantastic for the Giants this year, although Carlson remains an upside daily pick, especially in the leadoff spot. Sosa is hitting .246/.331/.313 with only one home run, seven RBI and three steals in 55 games for the Red Birds this year. He's a low-upside DFS dart throw.
