Tyler Eifert 2018 Outlook: Good At Football, Bad At Playing Football
6 years agoTyler Eifert scored 13 touchdowns in 13 games in 2015. He's played in 10 games since then. The title says it all. Eifert is an excellent football player. He's just one of the worst at actually playing football. And as we all know, the first attribute any football player needs is he has to play football. There are already whispers of Eifert opening the season on the PUP list. There's a legitimate chance he's never healthy again. Eifert is right there in that Jordan Reed phylum of players worth taking a shot on because of how high you know the ceiling is, but only if the price is right. While Eifert doesn't cost much to acquire this year, drafting him requires you to potentially roster two TEs, thus limiting your ability to maneuver on the waiver wire early in the season and reducing your ability to take a shot on a WR or RB by one. If you want to gamble on the upside, I won't fault you. I just won't be the one to do it.
