Detroit Red Wings forward Tyler Bertuzzi has been elevated to a consistent role on the second line in Detroit, a vacancy left after Tomas Tatar was traded. This has translated to an average 14:38 time on ice for him compared to the 9:58 TOI he was getting in February. When used in a top-six role at even strength, Bertuzzi has been able to moderately produce in spurts, but do not rush to the waiver wire to add him. The takeaway is that there is one less Red Wing you would look at for fantasy value this year. His true value is in what he could produce next year if he can cement himself in this top-six role. With Detroit in a rebuild, look for them to give more opportunities to younger players like Bertuzzi.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
